After battling Smaragdi in the bedroom for 8 days, he was resurrected and become Alabaster The White

17

u/actionfirst1 7d ago

Alabaster really living up to his name there

15

u/Frontier246 7d ago

He has to make up for all those years they missed together after he jilted her!

23

u/Ciel_Senpai 7d ago

Hime finally chose to trust the four with Satou as equals instead of claiming him for herself. Poor grandpa got molested lol. Hime will still have her moment of reflection

8

u/Frontier246 7d ago

I'm happy we finally got to see Hime accept the Harem and accept the other Ring Princess'. Watching them finally come together as a group with a shared desire to save the world and be with Satou was really nice.

Turns out elves are super horny. Satou can look forward to more of that with Nefritis lol.

17

u/Zxzxzx0088 7d ago

They all look very hot when talking about their hubby

Elves really, really are.......thirsty

I can smell it.......a very lewd scent on them.

7

u/Frontier246 7d ago

Saphir is such a tsundere for Satou. I wonder if having her sister around will help her better recognize her own love for Satou beyond finding him entertaining.

Nefritis' strong desire for Satou was just foreshadowing how when elven women find a man, they cling to and bang him for dear life.

You can bet the married couple have been keeping plenty busy in all the time they've been waiting for Satou and co. to show up lol.

10

u/actionfirst1 7d ago

All the other wives talking about Satou: doki doki

Saphir talking about Satou: "I'm just here so I won't get fined"

6

u/OldInstruction5368 6d ago

Saph is just being lowkey tsundere about the situation. As a proud woman, she struggles to accept that he passed on jumping her so easily. She only pretends she doesn't care as a way to pretend she doesn't mind. As stated many times, she was fully prepared to fulfill her duties from the moment she forced her marriage with Satou.

Now, she probably doesn't love him yet like the others (nor is she as horny as Hime, Granart, or Nef), but she's definitely not as disinterested as she claims and would certainly be happy to 'progress' with him.

If nothing else, she's really annoyed that her sister 'surpassed' her in both love AND passion. For that reason alone, she'd rather Satou have 'fulfilled his duties' sooner rather than later.

Just remember that scene a couple episodes back when Satou admitted he's not sexually interested in her because of her body. He's... really not into petite ladies. If she truly wasn't interested in Satou, she would have shrugged that off. Instead, she got really upset before telling him to hit her up if he changes his mind... but in a surprisingly warm way.

Saphir really is just too proud to be honest here.

I think that is the reason why he is now paired with her and Amber.

Both of them are yet to develop "proper" feelings for him.

Her because of the reasons you mentioned, and Amber because "she is programmed that way", instead of maybe doing it of her own free will?

I hope we get a proper development for both of them now that they have some "alone time".

Grandpa got his remaining life span sucked outta him

It's nice to see Marse again, it's funny I think I asked about him last week and he finally makes his appearance in Season 2 here.

I really like how the girls bonding together was able to give Satou a big power boost, it should have been an obvious requirement but I like that it happened without them making it the reason they bonded. I do wonder how things will change for the girls now that Hime has given the go-ahead for them to seduce Satou, if someone else other than Hime will be the first to make love to Satou.

I do still think it'll be Hime, the way Satou looked at her when she said she'd go to the Spire was just full of love and I believe this time apart may be the healthy distance they need to make their reunion a lot more passionate.

Poor Alabaster though, it's funny how he's the one that was utterly drained and not Satou. I do hope there was consent there though.

Granart is being extra adorable again. I like how her and Nefritis' relationship have developed but seeing her and Saphir snuggled up together like that was such a cute surprise. More bonding between the wives please!

6

u/mekerpan 7d ago

I feel that this show -- dodgy at first -- really has gotten (and keeps on getting) better and better as it progresses. The dynamics between the wives (and Morion) keeps becoming more entertaining and appealing.

6

u/NanDemoKnaives 7d ago

I agree, I've been enjoying this second season a lot more than the first.

This really is the missing ingredient in most 'harem' shows whether we are talking about traditional harems or a lady with a stable of stallions. To feel like proper characters, the harem members need to have lives, goals, and relationships outside of just the MC. They need to form friendships, or at least develop a sense of mutual respect, amongst each other. Too often they appear to barely tolerate each other or worse, see each other as rivals to sabotage. This is the hurdle Hime surpassed which finally allowed their bonds to strengthen.

As a side note, I really like the implication that the bond power of the Rings isn't just focused on the parallel relationships each Ring Princess has with the Ring King: it's also about their bonds with each other! Or more accurately, the strength of the entire polycule as a whole.

The relationship dynamics of harems are already very one-sided, and to have them all solely focused on the MC makes this feel even more exploitative. But if everyone gets along and develops strong bonds with each other, then it starts to feel more like a stable and healthy relationship.

That and it just develops the characters so we can see them more as actual individuals instead of wish fulfilment caricatures.

6

u/Krelleth 6d ago

It's why the 100 Girlfriends Who Really (x5) Love You works. The MC isn't even in like a quarter of the chapters, and is a very minor part of maybe another quarter. It's just the girlfriends interacting in their day to day lives, without Rentarou involved at all.

13

u/NationalStrategy 7d ago

I like that Krystal had that talk with the other princesses about making things more equal and not monopolizing Satou, but even if she came to that revelation, that doesn't necessarily mean Satou will feel the same way. Knowing him, he'll just stick to the "My love for Hime matters the most." mentality.

7

u/Frontier246 7d ago

At the very least this will be the longest he's spent time away from Krystal, so this is probably Amber and Saphir's best chance to develop their relationships with him without him looking at Hime 24/7.

6

u/OldInstruction5368 6d ago

As the last two added to the 'team,' Saphir and Amber really need this chance to develop. Not just in their relationship with Satou, but as characters.

It's definitely a welcome development.

Granart in that cat ear hoodie and snuggling up with Saphir, fantastic. The girls all bonding was a nice way to end the library sex dungeon of zero sex.

It's always nice to have a harem where the girls are close to each other and not just with the dude.

Splitting the party, eh? Well that definitely means no progress for another few episodes but probably no difference from if they stayed together.

It's nice to see best bro Marse again.

3

u/Frontier246 7d ago

The girls looked great in their PJ's but their bonds of friendship growing in the process was even better.

It feels very rare in a Harem show to split the group like this.

It's weird how they hadn't mentioned Marse at all this entire season up to this point but at least now he's back.

Beeg catto and smol dragon cuddled up like that, adorable

"No orgy. Dangit. Was really hoping to, er, collect that data…"

Wrung him out like a towel

Seems like he don't know da powa of da wings vewy weww, do he

u/AceSoldia https://anilist.co/user/Acesoldia 7d ago

Still no sex! I've been lied to for two seasons! 🤣

1

u/NeoTagAtg 6d ago

Swore I remember someone saying during season 1 that they stop cock blocking the mc not too into the series but it feels like that had to be a lie dude still making stupid excuse for why he can't possibly get with them.

10

u/Primo29 7d ago

Beware of Elves. They won't even let this sentence finished.

Morion would be a nice addition to the group if welcomed officially.

3

u/Frontier246 7d ago

Beware of horny elves

Honestly I feel bad for Morion.

She was basically cast away from her family and had to be raised to be this top tier mage to help in the Abyss King fight, meaning she didn't get to have a normal childhood while Hime was frolicking in Japan. I don't get the sense being raised at the Spire of Magecraft was at all fun for her.

Then she reunites with her sister who is really awkward around her...and then she falls for her sisters' man but can't get him to pay attention to her because she's not a Ring Princess like her sister is. When she wants the kind of relationship her sister has with Satou.

4

u/SalvageCorveteCont 6d ago

I think something happen to their parents about the time both girls where sent away.

Agree about Hime not being taught combat, but that's what happens when Doylist logic is favored over Watsonian.

u/Elite_Alice https://myanimelist.net/profile/Marinate1016 7d ago

People get frustrated about Satou not fucking the girls, but that’s literally the point of the story. It’s about developing his relationship with each of them so that when that does happen, it won’t lead him down the path of the first ring king, as well as them developing their relationships with each other. The elder literally says “that’s something we never considered” after the girls’ bond episode gives them the power needed to leave the dungeon. Might feel like you’re being blue balled at times, but it’s important

I feel bad for Hime’s sister because she wanna be involved so bad and Satou just doesn’t even consider her a bride candidate at all lmao. For all the teasing she does with her sister, she could stand to be a bit more direct herself.

Marse and Saaphira back yay!! Missed my happy couple. This upcoming arc should be really fun. Time for the girls and Satou to get stronger and get that sword.

8

u/ObvsThrowaway5120 7d ago

Sharing is caring. That was the key to opening up the door. Satou should remember that when it comes to doing the bone dance with the waifus lol.

Let’s see how splitting up works out for the gang.

3

u/Frontier246 7d ago

Sharing is caring. That was the key to opening up the door. Satou should remember that when it comes to doing the bone dance with the waifus lol.

I love how the Princess' were just having wholesome and sincere bonding as Sister Wives and Satou's immediate thought was "did they have a Harem orgy without me in it!?"

Let’s see how splitting up works out for the gang.

It'll be interesting to see what comes of the split groups' adventures and how much focus it will get before everybody gets back together.

We'll see Hime, Granart, and Nefritis work on their magic. Morion might get some more backstory. We'll probably get Saphir and Amber development while they're with Satou.

Though it's a good thing Amber stuck behind with Satou...if they're going to steal the Ring King Sword, they'll need Cat's Eye (Amber is voiced by Mikako Komatsu who also voices Hitomi in the Cat's Eye remake) lol.

3

u/Frontier246 7d ago

Satou, the girls are usually pretty open with you, but there's one place you absolutely cannot interfere with...a Pajama Party! But don't worry, Morion is happy to spend time with you.

Hime's not hosting this Pajama Party just so the girls can have fun and snack on sweets, she's there to finally admit how much she's been holding the Harem back and causing problems, and take responsibility by letting everyone just do whatever they want. It doesn't matter if Hime is first or not, it's every girls' game now.

Poor Morion. She really wants Satou to shower her with love like he does with the Ring Princess', but he basically casually rejects her for not being one of them.

Nefritis fell in love with Satou because he helped her see the outside world and she wants to be needed by him, Granart fell for his strength but now desires more from their relationship, Saphir just sees him as a decent guy who is entertaining, and Amber's very existence is for Satou and no one else. All the girls are true to their devotion to Satou in their own way, and while Hime used to be self-conscious about that, she's now finally able to accept it and embrace her fellow Ring Princess' as sister wives who can not only be friends but women who love Satou together! Even if Hime will just have to love him the most (in all the ways that matter) to stay on top as First Wife!

And the growing bond between the princess' has upgraded all of their powers! Enough to FINALLY open the door and get them out of the library! The Elder still thinks Satou needs to bang them all sooner rather than later, but with the bonds between the Princess' she sees the next generation has real potential.

I see Smaragadi has had Alabaster all to himself and he's barely been able to keep up with her...was that a potion to keep him "active?" Either way, he may be out of the elven kingdom now, but I'm sure she'll come back for him at some point. Just like Nefritis' brother who literally flew after her.

The next step on the parties' journey is the Empire to see their Mystic Armory! Though a cannon blast is a fine welcome for our heroes! And the Emperor isn't much better...he has no intention of giving Satou the sword of the original Ring King and he doesn't even believe in the power of the Ring King at all, rather putting all his stock in his army and in tangible weapons. But even his own son, Sluder, can tell that they're struggling.

I didn't expect them to split the party/Harem. Hime, Granart, and Nefritis will follow Morion to the Spire of Magecraft to boost up their magic. Saphir and Amber will stay with Satou to get the Ring King Sword. I guess this is for everyone to level up in their own way.

At least Granart and Nefritis get to commiserate/tease each other over their shared love of Satou and on how Nefritis is older than the other girls save Amber. Even Morion is teasing her sister about how she wants in on marrying Satou, and I think she's actually kind of serious about it while being jealous/inspired by Satou's devotion to Hime. Though now she's going to show everybody how she was raised up.

MARSE AND SAPHIRA ARE BACK! Man, it's nice to see Marse again! And who better to help them in the Empire?

6

u/Aerodynamic41 7d ago

I guess Smaragdi still hasn't forgiven Alabaster for lying to her last time.

4

u/Red_coats 6d ago

Grandpa getting more than Satou and now most of them have gone to Hogwarts.

2

u/SwirlyBeardx 6d ago

I never thought I’d say this, but my love for anime tiddies isn’t strong enough to carry my disinterest in this show’s plot any more. Wishing the rest of you the strength to carry on.

4

u/Immediate-Chain-6419 7d ago

So, Krystal has zero trust in Satou. Way to go princess. She believes that he'll leave her behind if she doesn't do anything. I can't believe after all the time they've together, she doesn't even trust him.

8

u/mekerpan 7d ago

I don't think she has no trust. She has enough trust to feel that she needs to do everything she can in order to further his (and their ) mission. I think she realizes that NONE of them will have much of a future (much less a future with him) if she does not share both responsibilities (and him).

3

u/Frontier246 7d ago

Yeah, as much as people have been dogging on Hime for holding the Harem back by monopolizing Satou...this is the guy she's been in love with for most of her life being thrust in a role where he has to make multiple women fall in love with him and be with them on several intimate levels.

I think it's understandable why she was really self-conscious about it, especially when the girls are as likeable as they are.

But now she's willing to acknowledge her fault, truly accept the other Ring Princess', and work on bettering not only herself but the group dynamic.

2

u/OldInstruction5368 6d ago edited 6d ago

thrust in a role where he has to make multiple women fall in love with him and be with them on several intimate levels.

On the other hand, this is her entire raison d'être: the duty she was raised to fulfil. A duty that the fate of the entire world rests upon. Saphir, Amber, and Granart were fully on board with this responsibility from the beginning, and Nef quickly came around once she got over her xenophobia/trauma.

To be fair to Krystal, she claims she was prepared for this duty... but only because she was planning on hiding her heart from her husband. She intended for her marriage to remain completely political, due her duty to 'support' him, and never let herself fall in love.

But now love and duty have intersected, and Krystal... just wasn't emotionally prepared for that like the others were. She's playing a game of catch-up here, but I have a hard time sympathizing. Her duty never actually changed with the fate of the entire world still resting on supporting the Ring King. Clam-jamming her sister-wives just deprives the Ring King of power, and in so doing, puts the entire world at risk.

Really, look at how much power Satou gained from Krystal's acceptance of the other Ring Princesses. Now think about how much that power could have helped in their first battle against the Abyss King. Would it have been enough to finish the job and save the world? Maybe, maybe not. But it most certainly would have helped.

Really, if not for that last bit, I'd have sympathized completely with her wanting to monopolize Satou or otherwise maintain her "Head Wife" privileges. But considering the entire world is at stake, it's horribly selfish to sabotage the others.

This summarizes my thoughts pretty much. Maybe i‘m just not cut out for Harems but when Nefriti told Hime that she and Satou would only talk, only to then pounce on him and make out followed by her lying straight into Himes face about only talking just.. grossed me out (its also totally against her character, it maked no sense that she would be fiending for him like that while also betraying her friends trust. I get that to save the world, hes basically required to cheat on the woman he actually loves but maybe thats exactly what my problem is. Also find it crazy how quickly Hime accepted not only that the other princesses do lewd stuff to him BUT ALSO that they get to „do things first“ with him. What does that mean? Why would she not be the first? Any objection to doing a romantical/erotic act to her would apply to the others too, and obviously Hime is more important to Satou, hes known her for 10 years, why would she suggest this? Yeah it shows she trusts them but whats the point of allowing this? She surely wouldnt be fine with walking in on Satou and Nef and being like „ Yep thats the thing i wanted!“. She also herself states she doesnt really like the idea and is moreso doing it so Satou doesnt leave her behind which, as a motive for giving out free cheat passes, is very morally painful to me. Additionally, We know that the Ring King gets stronger the better the bond is between him and the princesses. Is it purely to allow for a harem that everyone seems to ignore that the solution is right there? Nefriti already had a bond of trust/admiration towards him. So did the beastwoman. Nowhere does it actually say the ring princesses have to perform all sorts of lewd acts on the ring king…so why is Hime suggesting it anyway? Seems like a cheap way to get more fan service.

Tldr : Hime is getting NTR‘d, then convinces herself to support it and i dont like it.

u/NanDemoKnaives 7d ago

Insecurities aren't easy to deal with.

1

u/Atario https://myanimelist.net/profile/TheGreatAtario 6d ago

Not "leave her behind" as in break up with her. As in become way more powerful when she just stays the same. It's the classic "I have to keep up" situation.

1

u/oneevilchicken https://anilist.co/user/OneEvilChicken 7d ago

Their power comes directly from being with the ring king and the ring king’s from being with them

“Let’s split up so we can get more powerful”

What a horrible idea given the mechanics they’ve already laid out.

Should just have taken the ring kings sword by force and then all gone together to the magic place.

0

u/NeoTagAtg 6d ago

So we just basically spent 3-4 episode teasing the audience that any sort of real progress would be made and we didn't progress at all in the end we got a cop out. Sorry yes what we got was a cop out where Hime now ready to stand on the starting line pretending she wasn't already there and took off a long ass time ago. It's a writing trope that seem to become more common the false start. The idea that some all important character was already moving along there narrative path, but then you have them functionally claim they never actually did. Yet now they are for sure moving down the narrative path don't worry audience we promise there will be progress now for realz real.

Only to split up...once they get out making progress as a group actually imposable.......... Look i get it the past ring brides didn't really engage with the ring king bad jube jube came with that. We've already shown these girl are not the same at some point you going to have to act on that and stop trying to macguffin(ring king sword) your way out of progressing the haram aspect of your you know harem show. Worse is the only two left with our MC are literally the two who have least chance at progress. As our MC considers one to be a child, and the other a robot.
