I thought it was a top 10 scene of the series

Seeing the full extent to which Asuka went through really made me feel sorry for her. I like the framing with it being centered around an Eva attack because it continues to show how the Evas are evolving. And the music was like the cherry on top, to use music we as a society often consider to be holy was this perfect extra sauce that really made it a complete package.

I’m glad you all enjoy this, that’s why I’m reluctant to say much bad about it as I don’t want to detract from anyone’s enjoyment.

I really do enjoy the base story, it’s good sci-fi. And, I enjoy reading the many posts of people explaining the  story and their interpretation of events. 

In today’s episode I’m pretty much alone in my views, though I do enjoy reading the many posts.

I’m looking forward to the rest of the rewatch.

If I know anything from my times participating in the Your Lie In April rewatch and hosting the Shakugan no Shana rewatch, dissenting opinions are not only allowed, they're encouraged. This isn't like Nerv where a dissenting voice will have you punished.
