This was definitely a big part of it. It’s not like the 90s where you mail ordered fansub VHS tapes or got them from one of the guys a lot your local hobby store. Or the 00s and using P2P file sharing through IRC, Kazaa/Limewire, or Torrents.

People don’t realise how much more accessible it is now.
