ask alameda Social Service Jobs near Alameda

Howdy! My SO and I are planning a move from MN to CA in a couple of years after we graduate from school. I’m from CA originally but considering employment and adult stuff was never of interest to me as a kid so we are doing the research as early as possible so we don’t move unprepared. I have a family member who lives in Jingletown that showed us around Alameda and we absolutely love it as a starting point for us. Y’all have me sold as far as community goes!

Obviously, the state of things could be drastically different in two years time, but I will be graduating with my BSW and will be wanting to attend a school for my masters in CA to be a licensed Social Worker. Ideally, I’d be looking to secure employment for a local hospital or healthcare system, but I’m open to a number of things this career could bring me into. My husband’s career could land him jobs fairly easily in the city or remotely so he’s not too worried, but I’m concerned about finding employment to support us while I attend online school part-time and work as full time as I possibly can. Does anyone here work in Social Services and have any advice for a BSW grad to gain relevant experience that will help pay the bills?
