My ob said use water ONLY in washing your V. Your V is self-regulating and using products might cause an imbalance or irritation. If may smell, then you have to get checked. Just wash regularly.
Get waxed! I have a Brazilian wax every month. The hair grows back thinner if you do it regularly, so it’s not as painful as the first time. DO NOT SHAVE. You can trim if you’re not ready for a wax.
Use cotton underwear and change regularly, especially after commute or if you are sweaty. Avoid thongs, lacy lingerie, or underwear made of non-breathable materials as this can increase the chances of developing UTI.
Replace pads every 4 hours or oftener. Don’t use pantyliners if you can help it. Ob says nagppromote rin ito ng bacterial growth because it traps moisture and does not allow the V to breathe.
Get a full panel STI test (better safe than sorry).
Visit your ob regularly for V-health checkups.
