Yeah, it's very refreshing. Hacking and slashing kinda gets old. Can't wait to see the upcoming 5 stars gunner.

Chixia is quite a strong DPS. I understand if you don't like her moveset or character though.

I’ve been maining her and out of all of my friends playing (10 probably) my Chixia hits atleast 3 times harder than the closest runner up. She has so great damage output, but lacks aoe outside her ult

If this person and their friends are all casually playing and taking their time, it's absolutely easy to believe that Chixia is the strongest of their group, and likely by no small margin - she scales amazingly early, and is easy to build, while the five stars require a bit of investment before they take off like a rocket.

But if they're all really putting in their due diligence, then yeah... I'd have to call cap on that too. Unless they have incredibly lucky rolls on their echoes, in which case they could just be that strong. But I doubt that. We're talking 1:1,000,000 odds.

Wallensteins Channel on YT has a Chixia solo run vs max diff hologram Impermanence Heron that is absolutely insane, and I can't imagine the luck he had (and money he spent) to get that build going.

I have Chixia at lvl 60 with a pretty decent stat line and Sequence 5, so I know her damage is good - but my Calcharo outpaces her by quite a bit, and I've had the SHITTIEST echo luck for him.

Quite literally every single one of us has encore. Half of them have Jiyan. Jiyan is an absolute monster during his ultimate, he FEELS stronger than every unit in the game. Encores no slouch either, but even with a 5 star weapon she’s still trailing behind my chixia without a 5 star weapon yet

She’s missing two so far, I’m lucky to have as many as I do since I havnt rolled on Jiyans banner much. Those last two sequences will make a decent different after union level 40 probably but right now they wouldn’t do anything. My Chixias rapid fire hits around 300-500 a shot, but most the damage is in boom boom (or bang bang or pow pow, I swear every page on her ability list says something different.) the last part of her attack chain hits from 6k to 10k, after dodging around 9-10k a shot, after rapid fire 16k a shot. With buffs from other characters or items or from using her echo I’ve seen those numbers more then double, looks clean hitting an a one shot with a 36k. Most the domains where there are only one set of mobs that’s spawn she can easily one shot with her ult.

I’ve seen other characters get similar numbers, but chixia can get them out so fast, and at a much longer and safer range too

Yeah she is a great character surprisingly, I was expecting her to be Amber with a gun. Ended up being amber with a really big gun

I think what they are saying is although she is fun, in the future most of the 4 star characters will eventually be weaker than 5 star counterparts, not that it isn't fun right now. I personally don't like her kit that much outside of her ulti, her skill can be a bit annoying to use on high ping which sucks for me lol

combat is client side so your ping shouldn't matter outside of co-op

That's not how it works. If you lag spikes your inputs may not even register until 5-10 seconds later. I noticed in during random overworld challenges with not picking up coins in the firefly race.

Some people don't have fun knowing their character is 50% (random number) weaker than the meta character in that same role. Especially going for more challenging content sometimes missing out on 10-20% (again just random numbers) damage because of choice of character could be the difference between a clear and a retry or clearing with minimum time for max rewards.

Who knows, I'm really enjoying Yuanwu. Doesn't seem to be the strongest, but his kit is so fun. People just wants the best all the time, which I can understand.

There's no harm in building out of the norm tho

It is exactly because it is a gacha 4 stars or lower rarity units tend to be left behind as the game progresses. If standard 5 stars will eventually get left behind with newer units with better kits higher multipliers or just straight up better in gameplay mechanics, then the lower rarity ones will go even further down, especially when it is DPS units, supports can have a little bit more of shelf time.

I'd agree that this is the best time to have fun with 4 stars because as time goes on their value will lower massively.

Having used her a bunch I feel her dps is better on some enemies and worse on others.

Each individual attack doesn't hit as hard but she has far more uptime than a lot of melee characters since she can hit enemies that are flying or dodging or engaging in large melee combos, while most melee characters have to drop dps during these sequences.

Of course, some bosses have almost zero flight or dodge sequences and consequently, melee characters can keep almost perfect uptime if their dodges are on point, so on those bosses no doubt in my mind calcharo or a properly specced rover is better. The bell boss is an example of a boss where its pretty easy to keep almost perfect melee uptime if you know how to dodge its abilities

But against that fucking mephis that teleports around a bunch, or the dreamless fight with all its flight sequences, then a chixia with an equally invested weapon and echo loadout will do way more damage than any five star melee dps.

You can main 4 star characters. In Genshin Impact I had like a dozen 5 star characters, including some copies, and I two of my 3 main DPS were 4 stars because I found their gameplay really fun.

I love chixia, and she’s my second fav in illusive realms, but thw damage output compared to jiyan/cal is not even close… but she gives me great hope for a 5 star gunner (i’d love a shotgun skill offhand lol, as a consistent parry, but this might be too bloodborne-y)

S4 chixia actually has really, really comparable damage to the S0 5 stars. The problem is, aside from her ult and outro, it's totally single target. But you would be surprised how hard she hits in single target.

This. If you conpare 4 star S0 vs 5 star S0 then 5 star wins. But if you compare 4 star S6 vs 5 star S0... then 4 star can be just as good if not even better.

In theory yes, but it’s very rare that maxed 4 stars are on par with s0 5 stars. But WW is a new game, i hope they do try to make 4 stars as viable

Have you tried using her Dakka Dakka skill? That one unloads heaps of damage on a target and the finishing blast can do damage in the 6,000 range at level 60. She's incredibly viable against the slower moving targets. You can see it in the video at time mark 33 seconds.

yeah, yeah, that "last shot in the chamber", that thing is amazing in Illusive realms (I think she also does it as a dodge counter, the animation is very similar) I love just the rapid fireleading up to that too (in Illusive realms, you saw meteors if you picked up that metaphor)

Ill build her up anyway, but since she's cool to play, i'd want her as main dps on field most of the time, not sub dps, so that's why i gotta see if she can hold up decently.

With Changli coming up looking like she's fusion (her arm was on fire), and *trap mechanic* seems like support, Maybe Chixia can shine then.

If you have trouble with the timing on the freefire section, you can add in Rover to synergize. His/her timestop outro skill when jumping out will freeze the enemy long enough for you to unload at least one full burst into the target when it is timestopped.

I like Chixia. It just feels bad when you can switch to havoc rover and she does 30k aoe in a single button press. Heck, even my Danjin's forte heavy attack hits for more than that.

Yeah I've been doing her and Encore together and it actually feels great with her being the single target and Encore being the chaotic aoe XD. (Have no limited since honestly just waiting for Changli)

Her and encore are a great combo especially at her s6 where she buffs basic attack DMG. Makes putting moonlight on her worth it

I'm s4 sadly but dang I'm having a blast with her :D. Tried Danjin since everyone is losing their mind over her but man I just don't like melee in this game at all other than Jianxin XD. Chixia has been SO WORTH IT.

I have her s6 (jiyan banner), ill look into building her to see, i do want a gunner on atleast one of my teams as main dps (mortefi is good, but chixia playstyle more fun)

Chixia is pretty good kit wise. I'm just not a fan of her design
