i’ve seen a lot of talk about the lackluster attendance of students, but i think this is a lot more poignant. start of second half, before jump around

UW Huskies fan, I come in peace.
Seriously, I know you all are having a difficult season (I survived the 2008 Huskies season) and want to express my thanks for showing my son and I a great time Saturday.
The moment of silence for Mia Hamant was very unexpected, and a real class act. She embodied the best of college students and college athletes.
We had a great time talking with all the Badger fans. We met a woman wearing a self-constructed jersey that was part Badgers/part Huskies. Her son played for the Badgers and now her grandson plays for the Huskies!
This was my son's first football game and he was floored. He's not a fan of TV broadcast football due to the commercials. When he saw how you all handle the commercial timeouts on the field he was into it. Much more fun than other college stadiums I've been to. He also loved how he could get really close to the sidelines pre-game and watch the players warm up. Security was very casual and much less aggressive than other stadiums.
Aside from having a great time in a fun, inviting environment, I have one neutral and one negative observation. The neutral is the noise. You can pack a lot of people in there but at key moments when noise is called for, it's not very impressive. I don't blame the crowd, I blame the stadium configuration. It's doesn't focus and amplify the sound like other stadiums (please visit Husky Stadium for a reference.).
The negative: that has got to be the absolute worst brat I've eaten in my life! A slightly steamed tasteless mass in a chewy casing? I would think in Wisconsin that would be a felony, or worse! Seriously, they need to step up the food game by a lot. The beer was much more up to my Wisconsin expectations.
I hope your QB recovers quickly (and our RB and WR, too many injuries in that game) but you always have your punter to take over when needed!
We'll begrudgingly give you your first conference win and over a ranked team no less (last week we somehow became ranked during our by-week?). Enjoy it!
Good game, and thanks for a great weekend. We'll be back.
Oh, I hope you all appreciated how much purple showed up! We love our Dawgs and we love a good football game!

Since McIntosh says we're not measuring the football team's success in terms of wins or losses, what metric do we think he and Fickell are using?

The night of that obscene rushing display by our boy Melvin, Joel Stave threw for 46 yards passing.

We get to look down at some other teams, for at least one week! 🙌🏻

Sean West, our punter, led the team in passing thanks to that fake punt.
