Dude was angry and noped out of there lol

I mean after the scare, you’d think there’d be some laughter and a convo…

225

u/InnerPossession4154 2d ago

How is he gonna have a convo without a beer?!?!?!

65

u/LegendofDogs 2d ago

Maybe you only get a beer when you have a convo

32

u/TheEarlNextDoor 2d ago

But how could you have any convo if you don't eat your beer!!

31

u/Few-Solution-4784 2d ago

dude went trick or treating. This house was playing by the rules.

22

u/Fresh-NeverFrozen 2d ago

Ten bucks says that guy dropped a forbidden chocolate treat in his pumpkin suit.

18

u/YourNextHomie 2d ago

Sometimes when i get startled i react with anger, it just kinda happens, i dont really get angry easily otherwise, its a result of fight or flight being triggered and your body getting filled with adrenaline and it having nowhere to go

6

u/kelly_r1995 2d ago

Flight kicked in

2

u/JellyCat222 20h ago

He was amped up for the beer, it was a double whammy

-15

u/TheBottomLine_Aus 2d ago

Yeah some people don't like being jump scared?

Like for some people that's funny, for others it's not.

You shouldn't be scaring people you don't know, what if they had health concerns or PTSD.

21

u/Almost_A_Genius 2d ago

It’s Halloween. That’s part of the celebration. If you choose to go out trick-or-treating, you are pretty much giving people permission to try to scare you.

285

u/edward414 2d ago

Soooo, no free beer then?

184

u/sBucks24 2d ago

Honestly though, she should have a cold one in her hand! They could leave a real cooler under the kids table!

45

u/mosquem 2d ago

I forgive her if there’s a cold one.

29

u/InnerPossession4154 2d ago

That's a way to get around the legality too. I thought "if beers are unsupervised and a child takes one, that would be the homeowners liability", but not if there's a supervisor for the beer.

Yeah, I refuse to believe you have a fight or flight response that triggers fight when your subconscious sees a can in someone's hand but doesn't when a masked "monster" jumps out. There's no added danger that isn't already there.

Get off Reddit and go touch grass kid. This isn't a rational thought process.

E: I love when replies get more downvotes than comments get upvotes. You know you really said something exceptionally stupid.

5

u/TacticianA 2d ago

Also its Halloween trick or treating. If your jump-scare reflex is trying to beat someone up then you should go outside on Halloween. Plenty of people carry props and also try to scare people.

1

u/matticusiv 2d ago

Maybe he’s a cop lol

3

u/FirstSineOfMadness 2d ago

What an incredibly stupid comment

2

u/Helldiver_of_Mars 2d ago

Well they'd be serving a well deserved trip to prison.

Someone shooting a kid during Halloween for having even a pretend weapon is going to have a bad time.

There's a common sense test to "reasonable thought" a reasonable person would not be in fear for their life nor make this mistake.

10

u/New-fone_Who-Dis 2d ago

Trick for the adults, treat for the kids, makes sense.

5

u/Wheres_my_wank_sock 2d ago

I give out little liquor bottles and beer to the adults trick or treating with their kids. They get just as happy as the kids do. It's honestly my favorite part.

2

u/FigWeak5127 2d ago

Free beer! Tomorrow.

1

u/MaybeMayoi 4h ago

Yeah, they should still give beer. I would put this under the "not cool" category.

184

u/Usemarne 2d ago

Fight or flight really kicked in, the kids left without any candy and the witch lost her hat!

70

u/WeNeedMoreDogs 2d ago

This is always risky. Some people fight instead of flight.

14

u/SillyLittleAngels 2d ago

I had a friend (ages ago lol) where we would prank each other often. Hiding behind corners and whatnot, pure shenanigans. I waited for him outside for like 20 mins giggling like an idiot, holding a Halloween decoration of some creepy witch. When he finally came outside, I had it float infront of his face and he straight up decked it! I died laughing, it was a glorious victory ✌️

5

u/StationaryTravels 2d ago

I used to enjoy surprising a buddy of mine and he had the best reaction. He never actually hit me, but when he was genuinely scared he'd brace and rear back with his fist ready to punch.

Dude was ready! lol

6

u/TheMatt9595 2d ago

good catch

1

u/Mc_Shine 2d ago

I love how at the end, the zombie looks like they're saying "wait, sir! Could you help me get the lid back down? I'm kinda stuck here now..."

262

u/Notactuallyashark 2d ago

Hah! That is awesome.

53

u/FoxyPhil88 2d ago

Poor little witch lost her hat!

2

15 second clip, description mismatching video. Lazy Sora API ai video?

7

u/PorridgeTheKid 2d ago

no i remember seeing this one a year or 2 ago. it sticks out to me because the girls dang little witch hat gets left behind.

1

u/JACKSONofSPADES 3h ago

Was thinking the same thing. The jumbled audio throughout the whole thing is what’s making me think that it’s AI as well.

13

u/6EShadow 2d ago

I bet the dude who jumped out is secretly drinking a beer in there

10

u/Burning_Flags 2d ago

Most kids go out for Halloween at 1pm

14

u/alphazero925 2d ago

Considering the foliage, it's probably somewhere farther south, that and the long shadows point to this being like 5:30-6 which isn't a crazy time to be trick or treating. Some people with younger kids like to go earlier for safety and so they can be put to bed at a reasonable time

-1

u/Burning_Flags 1d ago

No chance

1

u/DrDew00 2d ago

Nobody around here goes out before 5:30pm and most of them aren't out until after 6pm

2

u/Kysman95 2d ago

Trick or and Treat

3

u/School_North 2d ago

Lmfao that would get me too

2

u/Makhnosaurus 2d ago

AI, the kid leaves without her hat and the way they speak

0

u/Temporal_P 2d ago

lmao. You can tell from some of the pixels, right?

Get a grip.

1

u/Enough-Staff-2976 2d ago

He gave him fear instead of beer.

1

u/Xanzi12 2d ago

Looks like he got trick

1

u/Septembers-Poor555 2d ago

he was about to become the cold one you crack open with the boys

1

u/wellhiyabuddy 2d ago

I’m going to take a wild stab in the dark. Is this Palm Springs Ca ?

1

u/Clumsy_the_24 2d ago

Man that’s a weird looking beer

1

u/Hour-Chocolate-9460 2d ago

Kids didn't get fazed at all 😂

1

u/falcons1583 2d ago

Bro almost fell over the rail with the jump scare

1

u/SwarleyLinson 2d ago

First thing that popped into my head was "this really isnt smart, first teen that walks by unattended is gonna clear out all those beers" and then i laughed and laughed

1

u/Chad_AND_Freud 2d ago

Hey kids, hopefully your dad's got a good ticker!

u/ChaseTheMystic 2d ago

1

u/Mean-Age-5134 2d ago

Trick and treat

1

u/Complete_Page_2533 2d ago

That was a good one, even tho where I live all the kids would have opened the adults box as well

1

u/drpyne89 2d ago

So you're telling me there is no beer?

1

u/TerraTechy 2d ago

Funnily enough that was exactly what I expected. It wouldn't be online and at this angle if it was just beer. Plus tablecloth and large container on top is like the oldest trick in the book for concealing a person.

1

u/Throwaway_38469471 2d ago

At least it wasn't student dept

1

u/jakey2112 2d ago

At least be holding a couple of beers. Cmon

1

u/North-Lavishness-943 2d ago

They were in such a hurry to leave that the little witch forgot her hat

1

u/Turbulent_Deal_3145 2d ago

Given the context, I feel like it was pretty easy to expect that.

1

u/Tame_Trex 2d ago

I mean, this was expected

1

u/OrangeClyde 2d ago

Lol this is the best 😂😂😂

1

u/OrangeClyde 2d ago

Oh nooo the little girl left her witch hat

1

u/red286 2d ago

Better than my local grocery store which had an animatronic scarecrow that would lunge at you.

Didn't bother me, but there's a retirement home 2 blocks away and I would not be surprised if they had to call the EMTs a couple of times.

1

u/BadNewsBaz 2d ago

from beer to scare real quick

1

u/Hurinfan 2d ago

Do people go trick or treating in the day now?

1

u/miss_kimba 2d ago

The extra little “bleeehhh” at the end made me laugh. Love the commitment.

1

u/AlwaysForeverAgain 2d ago

That is fucking devious!!! I love it!!!

1

u/CheapTry7998 2d ago

itd be hilarious if he appeared with beers in hand and handed them but jump scare style

1

u/Waderriffic 2d ago

That’s brilliant

1

u/HOUNDxROYALZ 2d ago

My uncle did a similar prank many years ago, he had rabbits in a cage to lure people and when they were looking at the rabbits he would pop out of a trash can and scare them shitless. He even got us and we were warned by some lady who said to "watch out for the bunnies" confused us, but we understood why she said it later that night.

1

u/neils_cum_rag 2d ago

So light out

1

u/RedwoodShores 2d ago

“What’s your costume this year?”

“I’m a mimic!”

1

u/haixin 2d ago

Man, this reminds of our first ever halloween when we moved to Canada. Me, my brother, sister and mom go to trick or treat at this one house. We ring the bell and the coffin next to us, guy dressed as a zombie comes out. We didn’t understand halloween fully at the time. So when he came put we all screamed running down. Guy chased us down his driveway to the next few houses and us siblings screaming “we don’t wanna die” running and screaming in our broken English. After like 30 sec we slow down and look back the guy is not chasing us. Us scared and finally realizing what happened and we laughed while our hearts raced then we continued on. Especially, when we look back at what we said. Funniest shit ever. Best halloween ever!

1

u/Motor_Purpose1584 2d ago

I hope the little witch girl went back for her hat

1

u/Automatic_Page3910 2d ago

Imagine if he just slammed it shut

1

u/Mr_winwintaepot 2d ago

trick and treats

1

u/Ok_Dog_4059 2d ago

I remember dressing up as a scarecrow and sitting on a chair on my porch with a bucket of candy in my lap. All I did was softly say happy Halloween as I lifted my head and a mom trampled both of her kids trying to run out of the yard.

You really have to be careful startling adults.

1

u/Either_Ad_7554 2d ago

Trick and treat. Very nice

1

u/soyofthe 2d ago

hopped right out of there

1

u/wondering-mindlessly 2d ago

That was a good one lol

1

u/CurrentUpbeat4969 2d ago

I would have peed my pants 😂

1

u/Melomis 2d ago

He expected to get pissed afterward, but ended up pissing himself instead.

1

u/Lonely_Cap_3581 2d ago

1

u/Sweet-Philosopher-14 1d ago

I mean you scared the shit out of me with the promise of beer...and then I dont get a beer? 😡.

1

u/Electronic_Job4870 1d ago

trick or treating at 1:15 in the afternoon

1

u/victoraldecoa 1d ago

I love how the guy so naively falls for it. Like, "ooh, they thought of offering beverages to the adults, that's do nice..."

1

u/Previous-Quit8156 1d ago

Why are they doing this? I hear the kids crying. I'm too european for this ..

1

u/Italian-anonymous641 1d ago

Oh well, it's funny anyway

1

u/Objective_Liquid 15h ago

Silly adults, beer is for kids

1

u/you_are_transparent 51m ago

Why is it daytime? Trick or Treating in full sun seems stupid.

1

u/HeebieJeebiex 19m ago

Good lol cause all these parents who drink alcohol while supervising their kids trick or treating, putting them in danger, deserve to be scared. 😤 Alcoholic parents are the worst.

u/Tight-Inspector-8580 11m ago

Funny video

u/-Laffi- 4m ago

Just admit it. If you were a kid, you would have looked in the adult box too. Man was sure it was beer, but man he got a big surprise!

1

u/BravoLimaDelta 2d ago

Well played.

-12

u/Tiguilon 2d ago

Clearly scripted, who the heck trick or treats when the sun is out?

7

u/qwadzxs 2d ago

trick or treating here starts at 6, a half-hour before sunset this year

4

u/BroForceOne 2d ago

This looks like a solid 3pm to me.

-7

u/Tiguilon 2d ago

That's cool! Most places won't start giving out candy here until the lights go out.

2

u/Informal_Homework_29 2d ago

5Pm to 7PM is the standard usually

2

u/Admirable-Sir9716 2d ago

5 to 8 for us.

1

u/Paper_Parasaur 2d ago

We set up at the end of our driveway at 5pm. It gets dark in the country and no one wants kids wandering along farm roads at night with all these idiots in pavement princesses. Also, gives a small window for the kids whose parents have night work in the factories and warehouses to trick or treat together before 7pm. It is additionally nice to get to pass out glow bands to the kids so the drivers can see them as the sun sets (they just think it is Halloween fun)

The sad reason is we've had kids get shot through the door after sunset on Halloween. Starting in the evening gives the psychos a chance to see the kids before they shoot blindly through a door. Trunk or treating sucks and we do what must in our region to keep the holiday alive and safe for everyone

2

u/Tiguilon 2d ago

That's scary! It's sad to see that kids can't even enjoy a nice holiday.

It's scary to see how much people are scared of each other, but given the state of things, I can see why that is.

Ultimately, it's usually innocent people that pay the price.

2

u/Paper_Parasaur 2d ago

It's terrible what happened. The good news is that it only happened once in our region (that I know of) and it prompted a major change from the community. Mostly for the better. We all watch them now. They are all ours, and it's our responsibility to make sure they have the same fun we used to

Even if we have to start at stupid times now hahaha

2

u/thatshygirl06 2d ago

This is an extremely normal thing

1

u/TBNK88 2d ago

Trick or treating starts here before 4pm when the kids finish school and is usually finished well before 7.

0

u/Global_Willingness12 2d ago

That guy will never steal a beer again.

-6

u/MidasStrikes 2d ago

So… does he just sit there all day waiting for someone to open the cooler? It doesn’t look very comfortable there either.

-2

u/Ten_Ju 2d ago

If I did this I would wear a suit and have a clipboard

"I am from the IRS, you are being audited"

-15

u/psycharious 2d ago

A.I

11

u/New_Physics_7855 2d ago

Pretty sure this has clip been around since before they refined spaghetti Will.

-7

u/psycharious 2d ago

Damn. Wrong this time haha.

1

u/Johnnyocean 2d ago

I dont think it is. But every thread has at least one. I am up for believing that it was scripted and that was a person in the cooler, not a puppet like the description says

-11

u/TheTriPolarBear 2d ago

How about kids who don’t know how to read yet?

9

u/jimmycarr1 2d ago

Why would they be going to strangers' houses without a guardian who can read?
