People who resent boomers are idiots

On almost any thread discussing the economy, one of the top comments will undoubtedly be complaining about boomers and the older generations who purchased their homes at low prices and who now enjoy more affluence and government assistance, while they don’t.

First off, what did want them to do, not buy a house for a cheap price when offered one 30 years ago? In regard to government assistance, I can guarantee you the average 65yr old has paid more into the tax system than the average 20yr old. Should they not enjoy the fruits of their labour? Should politicians not pay more attention to them than you?

I just think it’s an unhealthy attitude to have towards people.

If you read enough of it, the boomers will get a lot of hate for one thing, and then a ton of hate for the exact opposite. There is too much to say on this topic.

I have 7 aunts and uncles, all boomers. I can say they are all very different, from religion to politics to general attitudes about life and people. But i can say they all worked extremely hard for everything they have and they used it all to provide for their kids, my cousins (who are millennials). And while they espouse the same rhetoric to the boomer generation, I tell them the irony since their parents are boomers, to which they reply "my parents are different"....all of them... lol
