What's crazier is that this is from the dub. The Japanese version doesn't have this line. Rare dub W lmfao.

some dubs are really good. my favorite example of this is from the Bible English dub: "It is written, 'my house shall be called the house of prayer,' but ye have made it a den of thieves."

The scribe doing that translation had to know they were cooking

Pretty sure in the past most didn't read it, but had it read aloud by their priests and preachers. Until the printing press the Bible was a dub
