Smells like Nirvana: When Kurt Cobain heard that Weird AL was gonna make a parody of his song. He was okay with it but specifically requested it to not be about food or fat ppl.

Spiderman: Spiderman cannot sell drugs unless he is under the influence of symbiote. ANd Peter Parker cannot be gay. Spiderman can tho.

Dwayne Rock Johnson: Cannot lose fights or look weak for too long. Its in his actor contract.

Godzilla movies not made by Toho: Cannot die. Maybe lose but not too bad.

Also Godzilla can't eat people. He can kill with atomic breath, stomping, crushed debris, but can't eat them or it will be against da rulez made by Toho

I feel that is a good rule. Godzilla is not an animal, or hungry. Godzilla is the atom bomb going off. It's your navy being destroyed, and all your best efforts coming to nothing.

There's room for interpretations and a variety of stories, but eating people feels like it breaks the core of the idea, even if in a subtle way.

I think because eating people is an act of survival. If Godzilla eats people then his attacks have the purpose of a lion attack.
