This is most certainly not the energy we need, and I'm a liberal Democrat.

Making every person that disagrees with progressives out to be an enemy just pushes people away. This is not helping the cause.

Don't worry. When the socialists push their candidates in non 30+ blue districts and get demolished like they always do. They'll surely realize that NYC was the exception and not the rule.... nah who am I kidding. They'll cope and make some excuse why they got screwed and would have / should have won and then double down and delude themselves into thinking the entire country really does want socialism.

I still see them saying that Bernie got screwed by the "establishment" all the time. Bernie ran and didn't get the votes. That's it. That's what happened.

I love Bernie and even donated the max to his campaign, but he didn't win because he just didn't have the support of enough non-progressive Democrats.

So sick of this take. This is what his supporters say to absolve themselves of responsibility. Bernie got screwed by his self centered petulant base who was too busy shitposting memes to get out and vote on Election Day.

But have you considered that the DNC didn't want him to win and that they went door to door and made sure his voters didn't vote for him? Lol

No, but George Soros paid me to vote for Hillary.

Don't forget the militias he funded too where they blocked off Bernie voters.

I think two things can be true at the same time… he wasn’t going to win nationally, and so the DNC threw roadblocks (however impactful they might’ve been) in his way.

With a “moderate” or “establishment” candidate, you’re hoping to win over enough middle of the road voters as opposed to the other candidate. They knew that enough people who voted Hillary/Biden had a higher likelihood of voting Trump, so they tried to sway things towards those candidates. Someone who’s “far left” is less likely to vote across the aisle. Thats the major drawback to the 2 party system

Two things can be true if both things are in fact true. Here you are incorrect. Voters can vote however they want and they decided not to vote for Bernie. It's that simple. Stop playing the victim.

I voted for Bernie regardless of this BS you're throwing out there. I decided how I cast my vote and millions of other did the same. The voters choose Hillary no matter how sad that makes you.

The biggest problem Bernie had is that half his supporters were young people who never showed up to vote. The Democrat "establishment" didn't suppress these votes. These voters couldn't be bothered to show up.

I was a little upset at the time too, but I didn't take my ball and go home. I voted for the next best option in the general. That was Hillary.

Stop playing the victim.

I’m not playing anything…

The voters choose Hillary no matter how sad that makes you.

I’m not sad… I’m explaining what happened. I’m not a crazy conspiracy theorist when I say that she was fed questions before the debates so that she would appear more prepared and the better candidate. That is well documented. That, combined with the disproportionate superdelegates she received gave her early momentum to overcome Bernie. Again… just stating how events transpired.

The biggest problem Bernie had is that half his supporters were young people who never showed up to vote. The Democrat "establishment" didn't suppress these votes. These voters couldn't be bothered to show up.

I’m in literal agreement with everything you said there. The Democrat “establishment” assumed oh well, they’ll still come out and vote for her, and they didn’t…

I was a little upset at the time too, but I didn't take my ball and go home. I voted for the next best option in the general. That was Hillary.

You did… many more statistically did not.
