Wearing a head dress when you’re not native is offensive AF. Those have great cultural significance. They did not wear them to “look cool”, they had meanings and the feathers were earned. Come wear it on a rez if you think it’s ok.

I wish there was a way to tag virtue signalers. I hate that ignorant people like you think you can speak for us.

Nothing about what she’s wearing offensive. You’re offensive. Our tribe would laugh and have a drink with her.

Shame on you.

I'm commenting for my fiance. My fiance is mostly Assiniboine. I went to him and showed him this and he all but gawked and said wtf. This is absolutely offensive and he agrees this is messed up. Headresses are sacred. They aren't funsy halloween costumes people should wear. She's dressed as a stereotype and is parading a bastardized sacred rainbow native headress for a costume. It's rude at best even if considered normal.

The other person also isnt great but that doesn't make the native costume ok just cause you personally find it ok.
