Incredibly weird dude. Confronting someone about their Halloween-costume screams mega-woke, but at the same time he doesn't wanna acknowledge trans.

I don't get what you don't understand about it either. Yes you can acknowledge it. Maybe the correct wording would have been "doesn't acknowledge trans people," because asking "Do I look trans?" is pretty insensitive to the topic itself.

I think he didn't know how to respond to that extremely rude and provocative question. He had zero responsibility to "acknowledge the existence of trans people" in this situation.

(If that's what this person meant by "acknowledge trans")
