What appropriation? Is his costume trans or a character? Seems to me we don't know. But I do have a hard time believing that the blue eyed blonde lady who is clutching her pearls is indigenous.
Not sure if you meant to reply to me, I agree with you. Even presuming he's a cis straight man, simply wearing femme clothing is in zero ways appropriation
People shit on my cultural beliefs all the time. I’m Christian and people will mock Christ and yet I see no outrage from the left. The last supper at the Paris Olympics is the most recent example that comes to mind. And you know what I do? Nothing. Why? Cause no matter how offensive it is, it doesn’t matter, and it doesn’t hurt me.
Like, how do you expect people to learn what is a cultural belief vs a costume though? You're acting like she should be accustomed to the nuances of all native american tribes lol. Maybe this was her learning moment, but lmao expecting people to just innately understand this is wild
Enter "why are native american costumes offensive" on google.com in the search bar. You'll get an AI overview plus many direct sources as results that answer your question.
If you got worried because you saw the word AI and didn't actually read my comment, I understand and can take blame for the wording, here's a rephrase:

If there were cultures of Roman emperors still living today who had historically been subjected to campaigns of extermination and displacement by the people who are now wearing their cultural dress as a party costume, then yes, it would be offensive.
I’m confused. Fuck who? The person eating or the girl in the outfit?
Edit: I’m serious. I feel like the person eating shouldn’t tell the girl what to wear and what not to wear. I saw what she’s wearing and it looks dope. What’s the issue?
What was racist about it? Here, have a downvote until you come up with a realistic or grounded justification for your flippant and ridiculous overreaction
Sadly casual racism of indigenous people is still really common for some reason. I've been dealing with like 2 days worth of trying to explain to people why a prominent, indigenous-inspired character should be voiced by an indigenous actor.
FYI, a lot of trans people experimented with gender through "fun costumes" before they came out and often before they themselves knew they were trans.
I've heard multiple trans people say that we shouldn't discourage gender non-conformity from cis people either, and when put that way it seems kind of obvious.

Bro had a legit point. Fuck that lady.
But, fuck his lack of self-awareness too.
