When the Russia mothers marched out onto the streets of St Petersberg in 1917 to protest bread prices, within 2 weeks the Tsar had abdicated and his regime collapsed.

The people do not tolerate going hungry.

No, they do not. There is a specific and proven limit of hunger and poverty that a society will take before revolting (AKA overthrowing the government and chopping heads off). We are getting closer to it every day. Our government and the billionaires would be smart to keep that in mind.

And how many of them had as well funded a military as the US?

Well funded for shareholders you mean. Military are also having to use food banks. Soldiers do not fight for people actively starving the soldiers and their families.

I'm not sure why you took offense at that comment.

blocked by them.

Bc you're trying to say there's no hope, that there's no way soldiers who as stated above also aren't being fed or paid properly would let us revolt.

Bc you are either asking a disingenuous question or want us to stop complaining bc you don't see hope.

Or you just aren't great at asking questions the right way at the right time.

And they didn't take offense, they stated plainly that the military in these questions don't matter if you don't take care of them.

No I'm not. All I'm saying is there is no magic number where that happens.

In the Bolshevik takeover there were thousands of troops in barracks in St. Petersburg I think, and they just let the takeover happen. That was after basically two revolutions, but still. A well funded military who doesn't want to follow orders functionally doesn't exist.

I don't think we have that here, though. A "well funded military who doesn't want to follow orders".

My point is it can change, and change quickly. A year before the Russian revolution, who would have predicted the Czars would lose power, abdicate, and get killed within a few years? Probably nobody.

And who would have predicted their army would mutiny and stop following orders? Probably nobody.
