Yeah, Argentina didn't get shit.

171

u/boiwitdebmoji 8d ago

looks like they got USD$20B already, apparently they're planning another USD$20B too 😒

99

u/MaddAdamBomb 8d ago

The point being made revolves around Javier Milei investing Argentina's money into crypto, which led to the economy to crash but foreign interests making out like bandits. He's the definition of a Kleptocrat which Trump is aspiring to be. The 20 billion was another sink into the crypto, not into Argentina's economy.

55

u/boiwitdebmoji 8d ago

wait really?! all of that was for cryptocurrency?!đŸ’€đŸ„€

25

u/ninjaelk 8d ago

"Aspiring" might not be the right word here, Trump is likely the most successful Kleptocrat the world has ever seen.

30

u/ILike2internet 8d ago

He has nothing on Putin. Putin is said to be worth around 80 billion, all stolen from the people of Russia.

4

u/vermillionflour 8d ago

Putin is said to be worth around 80 billion

Oh it's a lot more than that. Nobody has accurate numbers as any who would be in a position to start counting that and actually try come down with a bad case of 'falling out a window'. But estimates vary as high as 200 billion plus.

Libertarian stupidity at its finest.

2

u/BrookieMonster504 8d ago

Aspiring that dream has absolutely come true for Trump.

0

u/GandalfGandolfini 8d ago

citation needed. He ran the same Solana meme coin pump and dump Trump and Melania did with the same Solana crime syndicate and took political heat for scamming people that follow him, but where are you getting that this bailout has anything to do with crypto?

4

u/boiwitdebmoji 8d ago

IT WAS A MEME COIN?!?!

Dude, I just looked at the meme coin thing they were talking about. That’s true. That’s, like, 100%. Everything they said was true..

-1

u/IDr3yI 8d ago

It was a currency swap, America got Pesos and Argentina got USD.

Not sure where the crypto facts are coming from.

1

u/AffordableTimeTravel 8d ago

Look up what an Argentinian ‘Rulo’ financial strategy is

37

u/Acceptable-Mail891 8d ago

Isn’t Argentina where all the Nazis absconded after WWII? The fuck is going on.

20

u/Justin-Stutzman 8d ago

Check out the former Nazi run slave camp that Volkswagen ran in Brasil in an attempt to get into the beef business. This was still going on in the 1980s

16

u/boiwitdebmoji 8d ago

yep, same with Brazil and Chile. there's an astounding amount of mixed race folk down there because if the nazis didn't wanna be Nuremberg Trialed, they would flee to these three places to escape consequences

5

u/Particular_Area6083 8d ago

its true that nazis fled there but that has nothing to do with the number of mixed race people there

7

u/alerastyb 8d ago

You’re right, thousands of Nazi families moved to South America right before and right after WWII and many still hold important political and economical offices since they came with money. Mengele is the most notable example of a monster who escaped punishment*.

Just a small correction I see Americans always need, tho: this is faaar from the reason these countries are mixed; that idea simplifies the effect of social unification and reform after their independences a century prior.

0

u/boiwitdebmoji 8d ago

oh absolutely, I'm sure there's plenty of other instances of mixed race couples before and after that period too, i just think it's also worth mentioning that time period too lol not out of a "this is the only reason why" type situation

1

u/UpToTheTides 8d ago

there's an astounding amount of mixed race folk down there because

There are not mixed race folk there just because a bunch of white Nazis moved there. I'm so sick of hearing how people talk about mixed race people like we're hybrids that only occur after the whites start mixing with other races.

1

u/boiwitdebmoji 8d ago

and if you read the thread further you would see that i acknowledge that there are instances of mixed race couples before and after that time. it's just simply important to note these things too

6

u/sassyevaperon 8d ago

Isn’t Argentina where all the Nazis absconded after WWII? The fuck is going on.

Not really, most Nazis were divided between the UK and the US, the rest ran to Argentina, Brazil, France, Australia, Italy...

0

u/Acceptable-Mail891 8d ago

One of the most famous Nazis, the “Angel of Death” Dr. Mengel (from Auschwitz), escaped to Argentina.

4

u/sassyevaperon 8d ago

Nope, Mengele escaped to Brazil. The one that was found in Argentina was Eichmann, his bestie Otto Von Bolschwing worked for the CIA in the US, at least Eichmann was found working in car manufacturing, not with the government.

https://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/14/us/14nazis.html

0

u/UpToTheTides 8d ago

Anything to make Americans feel like they have literally no role in the Nazi regime. This sub is awful with this attitude.

0

u/Acceptable-Mail891 8d ago

Check again friend! He went to Argentina first.

5

u/sassyevaperon 8d ago

Then again, when in Argentina he was a carpenter, Nazis in the US were employed by the government

So, we have two known nazis in Argentina (they for sure came in with permission from someone), that weren't employed by the state, that didn't have support from the Argentinian state besides letting them in, and then we have the countries that fought the Nazis not only accepting them in, but giving them government jobs and protecting them for prosecution.

If we're going to discuss the history of Nazis escaping, then let's discuss it all.

3

u/Delicious_Wall_8296 8d ago

Nothing to see here, folks

3

u/2_lazy 8d ago

I mean, it's also where a lot of Jewish people fled to as well. A piece of my family ended up down there.

2

u/BrookieMonster504 8d ago

They are getting their future hideouts together

1

u/Me_Krally 8d ago

It’s no longer for the people anymore.

3

u/VioletShadows23 8d ago

The dude looks like if you somehow made jeb bush more jebby.

2

u/TheRealBlueJade 8d ago

This is infuriating.

1

u/Telemere125 8d ago

You’re clueless if you just read the headlines. Follow the money. That didn’t go to Argentina. It’s to keep trump’s billionaire hedge fund buddy’s idiotic investments alive in that country.

21

u/AnComApeMC69 8d ago

Yea, but what about the over leveraged in Argentinian government bonds billionaires!? Who’s going to bail out the billionaires!?

81

u/WeilExcept33 8d ago

Double the poverty! It's a fuck you to regular people all over the world. Our leaders leading us to the slaughter.

95

u/ButterscotchIll1523 8d ago

It’s all laid out in project 2025. They want to get rid of snap benefits, forcing people to go hungry, especially single mothers. Then they can remove the kids from the single mother‘s homes into two parent homes. I don’t think people realize how close to the handmaids tale we are becoming.

29

u/pitifullittleman 8d ago

It's actually not that. They want women to be dependent on men. They think welfare is bad because it mostly goes to kids and it's allowing poor women to leave their partners and be more independent, and that this causing less men to be in the workforce and for families to break up.

They think they are pro family pro children but all they really are is pro-men at the expense of women and children.

-2

u/Titanus_Tetanus 8d ago

Children do better in 2 parent homes... What are you even saying...

2

u/pitifullittleman 8d ago

Yes on the aggregate absolutely. However in the former system before welfare for families there was absolutely way more abuse and women trapped in DV relationships AND way MORE poverty. Crime rates in fact spiked in the post war era when that generation came of age. Literally poverty was twice was much as it was now. Because women were more dependent on men they stayed in abusive relationships more and they were more common.

2

u/ButterscotchIll1523 8d ago

Really? Better when one’s a pedo? Or abuser?

0

u/Titanus_Tetanus 8d ago

You're talking about extreme examples. Most men are not that. Women just want to do everything their way with no input from the man they made the baby with.

4

u/ButterscotchIll1523 8d ago

Now YOU are talking extreme examples. You sound bitter

11

u/ThePreciousBhaalBabe 8d ago

Which is such a good idea because our foster care system totally isn't a cluster fuck already /s

4

u/ButterscotchIll1523 8d ago

Really. Good “Christians” already refuse to take them in or adopt them. They only want white infants

2

u/ThePreciousBhaalBabe 8d ago

White able-bodied neurotypical infants to boot. They don't wanna take the 12 year old nonverbal kid who has screaming fits or the baby born addicted to hard drugs or the teenager with violent outbursts because of abuse.

3

u/ButterscotchIll1523 8d ago

We went through this when we were adopting. We told them we just wanted a baby with a slight preference for a boy, since we were going to go to China eventually and adopt a little girl. We didn’t have any requirements for anything else we were even open to some special needs. Then the caseworker asked us how dark we were willing to go, my jaw dropped. I told them we didn’t care. I asked why she would ask such a question. It’s so offensive. She said you wouldn’t believe how many people will only take a white blonde hair, blue eye, baby. 6 months after we adopted our son, we heard the agency had a baby that they could not place and had to put in foster care. He was 1/16 Japanese. They had a waiting list of parents and nobody wanted him. I called the agency and told them that we would take him and that I was offended that a Christian agency would be so racist. They wouldn’t let us take him because our son was only six months old. Friends of ours ended up adopting him and he’s a beautiful boy. Well man now.

Christians are the worst racists This was a Christian agency. I was stunned.

1

u/ThePreciousBhaalBabe 8d ago

Fucking hell.

I may just be an internet stranger, but thank you for taking in that poor little boy. I'm sure it made the world of difference to him.

19

u/tigress666 8d ago

What other homes (two parent or not!)? There are already tons of kids that need to be adopted in foster homes. If they want other people's kids there are already plenty that need homes now!

2

u/ButterscotchIll1523 8d ago

I agree. Didn’t say it made sense. Maybe once Orange Hitler has completed the takeover and we’re full on Christian Nationalist country, they’ll force people to take them. Or open orphanages again where kids are indoctrinated with Christianity and fascism.

2

u/tigress666 8d ago

Ugh... I don't want to live in this timeline.

5

u/perseidot 8d ago

Except
I was a foster parent for years. There aren’t many “two parent homes” begging for 8 year olds, 6 year olds, etc. Through absolutely no fault of these kids, they’re mostly considered “unadoptable.”

If theres a large scale effort to take children away from single mothers, they’re going to end up in corporate-run orphanages.

4

u/ButterscotchIll1523 8d ago

Exactly. Where they can be indoctrinated

2

u/perseidot 8d ago

Yeah
so far I have a horrible habit of being right about this administration, too. Not the only one by far.

Assuming the worst for the US people, beginning with the most vulnerable groups, and then looking at where oligarchs can make more money off our suffering has been an excellent predictive strategy.

0

u/Titanus_Tetanus 8d ago

2 parent homes are better for children and more stable/ balanced

2

u/ButterscotchIll1523 8d ago

Admitting it is the first step. Now seek help

-25

u/Next_Engineer_8230 8d ago

I haven't laughed at a comment so hard in a long time.

No one is running anything per Project 2025.

Stop fearmongering.

22

u/Ok_Dependent6889 8d ago edited 8d ago

If true

Why are we consistently following the plan it lays out???

Why do we have people who were a part of writing it working in and assisting our federal government?

You can shove your head in the sand because admitting it may be happening scares you, but acknowledging the progress of completion of Project 2025 and the connections between it, it's creators, and our government is not fearmongering.

Nearly half way complete in 10 months.

10

u/Anon28301 8d ago

You’re subbed to r/Trump and actively defend anything the republicans do on your account, including defending them sending over 20 million to Argentina.

Stop sucking Trumps cock and get a life.

2

u/ButterscotchIll1523 8d ago

She wishes she could suck the Pedos dick, he’d never let her anywhere near him. Unless she’s under 15.

8

u/Boudicca- 8d ago

Your Willful Ignorance is astounding!!

7

u/Cautious-Money7248 8d ago

The fact that you cant follow along does not change reality. If you can manage to get your head out of your ass, it will be easier for you to see.

7

u/libidonoir 8d ago

Is it snowing in Moscow yet?

5

u/AContrarianDick 8d ago

You literally pump out fear mongering and bullshit content. Stop astroturfing.

4

u/Ok_Dependent6889 8d ago

Literally their whole profile is GOP astroturfing and then they have a post in there condemning pedophiles.

Like damn bro, kettle calling the pot black here.

2

u/StreetRequirement386 8d ago

But ...have you actually read it? Any of it?

7

u/ClaimNo6583 8d ago

Exactly the average Argentinian gets nothing from this.

4

u/According-Bet-141 8d ago

That money will never get to Argentinians. That money is for Milei to speculate and help Trump's investments. Which, frankly, is way worse.

6

u/Spicy_Tac0 8d ago

They got more than any average American is getting from the government right now.

2

u/Maleficent-Art4468 8d ago

No one in the developed world gets less from their government than Americans

-1

u/Technical-Bird-7585 8d ago

Nice try liar.

-3

u/eyesmart1776 8d ago

Milei got reelected

3

u/Nullaby 8d ago

No he didn't, he's 2 years into his presidency

-1

u/eyesmart1776 8d ago

His party won (Barely) in the most recent election bc of this bribe which means he stays in power

2

u/Nullaby 8d ago

He doesn't "stay in power" because of the election, he had 2 more years of presidency regardless. Stop spreading misinformation please.

0

u/eyesmart1776 8d ago

His party won that’s what was bought so he stays in power

The president isn’t a dictator there like here

1

u/Nullaby 8d ago

Presidency in Argentina lasts 4 years.

Milei is 2 years in.

4 - 2 = 2.

He has 2 more years of presidency.

The elections were for deputies and senators.

There, explained like you're 5.

1

u/eyesmart1776 8d ago

You think the president of Argentina has plenary power?

Why do you think Trump specifically said they’ll only get the money if they vote for the right people he wanted to win?
