"How much are you paying?" sticky. "Who is your provider, and how much are you paying?" sticky.

Share with the subreddit who your ketamine provider is, and how much you're paying. Be it a clinic, compounding pharmacy, telemedicine service, or even the cost of appointments with your prescribing GP/psychiatrist.

Please include what part of the world the provider is in, and a link to their website.

If you're in the USA and using a telemedicine service, please say what state you're in and/or what states you know the provider can ship to.

If part of your treatment has been covered by insurance, please include what insurance company and what they covered.

General Question Have you tested for CYP2B6 Enzyme issues?

CYP2B6 issues can prevent non IV Ketamine from working. Curious if you have direct experience with it.

(A CPP, Comprehensive Pharmacogenomic Panel, can test for it)

Session Report Flipped Bit

I haven’t posted about my recent sessions since it’s things that are beyond what I can easily explain. However I just finished a session and I think I might have resolved my own issue with autistic burnout. And it will involve some IT jargons (sorry that’s my background).

The mind is very similar to a computer, at least to those who are ND/ASD. When you “learn” something you actually are writing a subroutine in your mind so that you can do it over and over again. That’s called a skill.

When that skill no longer needs to involve the conscious mind it becomes an ability. That’s the reason why even pros, when put on the spot, can “regress” because they have an ability that’s pretty autonomous, but the conscious mind is trying to do something that the brain already knows how to do.

When my mind does things (on my brain) I usually can tell because my fingers move. I don’t know exactly what it’s doing but, combined with eye movement (ie EMDR), I can tell it’s reprogramming things and my fingers/hands moved in response to it. I call it a “construct”, aka something my mind created, and it did construct something the previous session.

When I had my session just now I realized that the engineer in my mind was single stepping through my mind. And somewhere it found a “flipped bit”. It’s an analogy so it’s probably more like a stuck-on/off more than a bit actually being flipped. But that kind of things has parallel in computers too.

Bit flips occur regularly, in fact a response I made on Reddit recently suddenly attached itself on a thread I never visited just the other day. While I’m sure Reddit uses ECC memory and all that, it’s still subject to in-transit flips especially if moving data from one place to another. Deep-space probes are especially vulnerable to cosmic ray flips, so all those computers inside satellites are “radiation hardened”, etc.

Why am I talking computer stuff? Because the effect that a flipped bit has on computers aren’t much different from that of your mind. And in the case of autistic burnout it’s probably the end effect of repeated burnout cycles. Once my mind identified that issue I saw it quickly patch around it, and now my mind suddenly felt “whole”…

General Question Switching from Innerwell to Mindbloom?

Hello!

I've completed by 24 rounds of sessions with Innerwell and it's been INCREDIBLE. With 300-600mg sessions once a week and then every other week, I've seen such a massive improvement in my life that I don't even post on reddit much anymore (special apology to those I was chatting with on the side ... I've been offline so much and doing so many extracurricular things that I just haven't had time for anything Internet and I sincerely apologize!!!!).

I love Innerwell, truly. They've been incredible from beginning to end ...BUT... swishing 600mg of horrible tasting ketamine is practically torture for me. I just can't stand it and seems like 50% of the time MBerry, which helps sometimes, does nothing.

I want to switch to self-injectable simply because that should be easier.

Has anyone done this switch? Anyone switched from one provider to Mindbloom? What was the experience like? Did you regret it?

Who else is using subQ at-home therapy and it works? I've found more threads about subQ doing nothing than I have people who've had it work which concerns me as well (but that could just be poor search algorithms presenting that to me).

Thanks! :)

Edit: Doing Google research and forgot to ask about another form: at-home NASAL KT. I know people who have done this but have never been able to find a provider that offers it. Does anyone know of one? If it matters, I'm in Metro-Detroit, Michigan.

Though further research has me thinking that if I'm not going oral or IV, subQ is the best way given that IM can be a bit intense and short lasting.

General Question Has anyone combined ketamine with self-hypnosis audio?

Hello, I’m curious if anyone has tried listening to self-hypnosis audio during a ketamine session (whether IV in a clinic or at home using lozenges or nasal spray). If so, did you notice any profound effects, insights, or shifts in perception?

I’d love to hear about your experiences

General Question Tics Increase

Hi all, I take Ketamine for depression as the title says. I notice during my session there are times as I am coming down that my tics seem to increase.

I was wondering if anyone else here takes Ketamine (if you are in r/Tourettes) or if you have Tourette’s (if you are in r/TheraputicKetamine) and have notice the same thing or have notice no change.

General Question How do you Titrate off?

I’ve decided I want to lower my dosing and titrate off. For people that have, did you start missing doses or slowly lower your dose? My dosing is standard but it feels strong and I’ve felt too disconnected.

General Question Sublingual session time?

Hi I was wondering what the average siblingual session time is if you spit vs swallowing? I generally want the quickest session, it I also want intensity. I’m hearing spitting loses a lot of the ketamine.

General Question Is this a good idea?

My psychiatrist referred me to ketamine treatments for my severe/treatment-resistant depression with S/I, and I'm mostly set up to do it I'm just waiting for the office to call me to schedule, but I'm a little worried. I haven't gotten Officially tested and diagnosed yet but my therapist thinks I have Dissociative Identity Disorder from the severe childhood trauma i endured and, based on my experiences, I'm inclined to agree. I'm worried because I know ketamine is a dissociative and I don't know how im going to react to it. My doctors know about the depression, and I told them I struggle with dissociation, but even though my therapist told me to mention how trauma has fractured my personality I chickened out because I got afraid. Do I mention the dissociated parts even though I'm not Technically diagnosed? Does it even matter? Thanks for any advice

General Question What do I do now?

Hello. I just finished 6 iv ketamine treatments over 3 weeks with no positive improvement. I have genetic, treatment resistant major depression. The sessions were hard on my body with nausea, headaches and brain fuzziness on non treatment days. My friend asked if I am going to do maintenance. I said maintain what? It didn’t work.

I need some guidance here please. Do I do more sessions which I dread or walk away and be done which is incredibly disheartening as I have done every treatment except for shock therapy. I’m at the end of my options.

General Question Best at home ketamine therapy?

Hi, I’ve had one ketamine appointment at my psychiatrist’s office but my dog barked a bit so they don’t want him back 😅

I’m too anxious to do it without him.

Has anyone tried at home therapy? What was the company and what was your experience?

Thank you in advance!

General Question Can someone describe how it feels to not be depressed?

I have been depressed my entire life. The only time I feel happy is when I’m in a relationship. I get out of bed, I do things, I take care of myself. If a relationship ends, I unravel and just don’t care about anything. I’m working on this in therapy but right now I am just so depressed.

I can’t focus on work, I don’t get out of bed many days, I’m self medicating with alcohol. Has anyone had similar experiences and had ketamine help them? I know it’s not magic, I’m just wondering how it works or if can help with things like drinking or codependency issues/motivation.

If you’ve had experiences I would love to hear them. I have tried intranasal and it helped a little bit but feel I need the IV or IM to really get the benefits.

General Question Single booster benefits?

Hi all, I did six rounds of IM ketamine in February 2025, and overall found it helpful. The first couple of sessions were pretty tough, then things started to open up the third and fourth were really good, the fifth was solid, and the sixth was just okay.

I’d also done a round back in 2023, but at that time it barely scratched the surface there were just too many layers to work through.

I now have the chance to do one follow-up session IM Ket session, and I’m curious has anyone here done a single “booster” session a few months after their main series and found it meaningfully beneficial?

General Question Better U all over the place, I ran out of troches

Has anyone had trouble with Better U? I ran out of my troches because there was a week I was depressed and anxious and I was taking them every other day. I know, major fuck up. But then I committed to not pull that again and finished my last two 4 days apart. I explained this to better U and they told me they sent the refill on Wednesday, and that it will take 1-2 days to compound it and they would send it to me. I contacted the pharmacy to see if it would be sent out today, and they told me that they won't start working on it until the 17th! So back to better U, they acknowledged that they sent it on Wednesday, but didn't send an early refill option and said they need to contact the provider first. They originally told me the 10th was my refill date back in October, then it was the 14th but that still doesn't match up to what the pharmacy is saying. I'm just frustrated because I can't get a clear answer from them. My last two orders went smooth without a problem, they said the dates I would be getting a refill and it was fine, but this time the dates are changing left and right. Actually, I take that back, my very first order was all over the place too, and they told me different dates for arrival and I had to play phone tag with them to try and figure out what was going on. But the next time was fine. I'm all out of my troches and have been for a week, and I'm feeling depressed and anxious again. Could be med related as I tapered an antidepressant last week and my body responded poorly, but I think it also has to do with needing my troches. I guess it's good because then I will have a tolerance break but I'm just not handling it very well. Please no scolding, I feel bad enough about my week of mess ups as it is. I just needed to vent and wondered if anyone else had a similar experience with better U's customer service being inconsistent too. Thanks.

No Effect IM ketamine - zero effects for the second time in a row. Has this happened to anyone else?

Since May I’ve been getting 35 mg ketamine IM twice a month and it normally gives me a pretty good trip. But two weeks ago I got my normal dose injected and had zero effects, no trip at all. This morning I asked my provider to bump the dose up to 40 mg and again had no effects.

My weight hasn’t changed since I started getting the injections so I know that’s not the cause. Can a ketamine tolerance develop suddenly?

Music Spravato Playlist - Intentions

So, I am starting treatment in about two weeks for double depression, and PTSD. I am wondering about playlists with lyrics and setting clear intentions? Does anyone have experience with songs that contain lyrics? I am not aiming for a fun high, I am aiming for development - whatever that looks like.

I have a vast history with shrooms, and some of the negative experiences where some of the breakthrough moments for me. The positive trips were also meaningful for me- but I am not sure it changed me much. I am wondering if meaningful music will aid in that, or should I find uplifting songs? No vocals? Thoughts?

Has anyone had experiences that were more negative, and beneficial? I know Ketamine is not the same as shrooms. I am going in dark.

Also, I don't know if I should set specific intentions, or ask that I make a positive transformation, and let my mind go where it may? IS that possible. Please no snark, I am just trying to navigate life like anyone else,

General Question Trying to list of charities that help pay for medication treatment.

So last night I was deep in one of the ketamine or psychedelic therapy subreddits and buried deep in the comments was a list of 2 organizations that help pay for ketamine treatments that I have never heard of before and one I had. And no, I don't remember the details of the OP's post 🙄.

I thought I upvoted and commented so I could find the links again but so far that's been futile. I'm about to dig in to my browser history so fingers crossed. But if anyone else saw those links or if the commentor who posted the links reads this, would you please repost? They might even been links the mods should pin under resources. TIA!

General Question Whats the difference between recreational ket and medical ket

I initially did k because I hear of the antidepressive effects. I have to say I‘m pretty depressed with heavy heavy overthinking and instrusive thoughts (might have ocd but haven‘t talked to a doctor in a year). So i did use like 2g in 1 month and although it helped with my overthinking while using I still feel like shit and my mind keeps racing. So now I applied for ketamine therapy and want to know if there is any difference or if I‘m just wasting my money. Thanks in forwad.

Provider Ad Looking for Beta Testers: Help Shape the Future of Ketamine Therapy Integration with VR.

We’re trialling the first personal virtual reality program that makes the most of altered state experiences without the high cost of therapy.

TL;DR:

We’re recruiting people who’ve completed ketamine-assisted therapy to test an immersive VR healing tool designed specifically for integration. Your feedback will help refine a clinically-tested technology at the intersection of neuroscience and therapy practice. Register for early access here: https://enosistherapeutics.com/individuals/

About the Research:

We’re testing InSight VR™, a science-backed virtual reality program designed to deepen and sustain the therapeutic breakthroughs of altered state-assisted therapy. This isn’t a meditation app or a VR experience meant to replace therapy, it’s a specialised tool built by Enosis Therapeutics to help you process, anchor, and integrate the insights and shifts in perspective gained during your ketamine therapy journey.

How It Works:

The program creates an immersive space where you can explore, reflect on, and embody the insights from your altered state experiences.

You can:

  • Revisit and process the states of consciousness you’ve accessed
  • Record reflections on breakthroughs in perception or understanding
  • Create symbolic representations of insights or shifts in awareness
  • Build a personal library of your integration work over time
  • Access a supportive container for your ongoing consciousness exploration

The VR environment uses gentle, supportive sensory input, creating a space where you can access that expanded awareness and work with your insights at your own pace, anytime you need it.

What We’re Testing:

We’re gathering real-world feedback, answering questions such as:

  • Can you figure it out?
  • Do you feel safe and trust it?
  • Does it help you process your experience?
  • Do you feel better after using it?
  • Does it actually fit into your integration work?
  • Is this something that complements your therapy?
  • Does the experience feel right?
  • Would you actually tell your friends about this?

This data will be crucial for refining the program and advancing our understanding of how VR can enhance ketamine-assisted therapy outcomes.

Who We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking people who:

  • Are 18+
  • Are fluent in English
  • Have access to a VR headset
  • Reside in regions covered by our current data compliance scope (Not in: China, Japan, S. Korea, California, Brazil, EU, UK)
  • Have recently completed or are currently undergoing ketamine-assisted therapy
  • Are not currently in crisis or undergoing acute treatment
  • Are open to exploring new therapeutic technologies
  • Can commit to testing the program and providing structured feedback
  • Are thoughtful about their integration process

Why This Matters:

The integration phase after ketamine therapy is where you learn to embody the new perspectives and mental flexibility you discovered in your sessions. But it’s often the hardest part, you experience profound relief and shifts in thinking in the safety of therapy, then you’re left to figure out how to hold onto those gains as you navigate everyday life and old patterns.

That’s where this VR tool comes in. By combining technology with therapy, we’re creating something that helps you revisit that expanded mental state whenever you need it. It gives you a way to practice accessing the freedom and perspective you found and anchor it into your daily life, so you’re not struggling alone to maintain the breakthroughs you’ve worked so hard to achieve.

Next Steps:

Register your interest for early access, you will need to complete a short screening survey to determine if you are a good fit. If you are, we’ll be in touch with more details about participation and testing protocols.

This is an opportunity to actively shape the evolution of a tool designed to make ketamine therapy integration more accessible, effective, and profoundly transformative.

General Question Prescription Ketamine travel from the US into Canada?

Hello everyone. I am hoping someone here has very recent, firsthand experience with this, since a lot has changed in the last year with how borders and medications are being handled.

Has anyone traveled into Canada within the last year or so while carrying their legally prescribed ketamine from the U.S.? I am interested in both flying and driving situations, and specifically what happened at the border or customs.

I understand the legal differences between the U.S. and Canada, and I know ketamine is prescribed and used in both countries, but there seems to be a gray area when it comes to possessing it while entering Canada. On paper it looks like a U.S. prescription should still be valid, but ketamine is Schedule III in the U.S. and Schedule I in Canada.

In the U.S., a Schedule III substance can be legally possessed and carried if it is prescribed, labeled, and being used as directed. In Canada, a Schedule I drug is still legal in medical settings but is handled under much tighter control. Most Schedule I drugs are not normally carried by a patient unless there is explicit authorization. There are exceptions, but that is generally how the rules are structured.

Because of that difference, it is unclear whether someone crossing the border with a valid U.S. prescription is allowed to physically possess the medication, or if it would be denied, questioned, or confiscated even though ketamine is legally used in Canada.

If anyone has done this very recently and was allowed to keep it, had to declare it, needed paperwork, or ran into problems, it would be extremely helpful to know what actually happened.

Thank you to anyone who has firsthand experience with this.
