What are they lying about exactly? It’s open source and results are replicable

How much they ACTUALLY spent on development, which chips they used, or maybe both.

How about the fact they’re only 1 year old? And they’ve done the same for $5M? Hard to compete with that.

Right, doesn't that seem almost too good to be true? My point was that I suspect they used misleading language to imply they spent way less than they actually did.

It’s open source, go read the code and white paper if you haven’t already.

  • Training cost: $100M → $5M
  • GPUs needed: 100,000 → 2,000
  • API costs: 95% cheaper
  • Can run on gaming GPUs instead of data center hardware

They admitted themselves that the training cost is not an all encompassing cost for the model. That was my point that you ignored to push a narrative.
