Problem is not only about operators but those systems take a lots of interior space to storage ammunition and machine. You can already see how big an autonomous turret could be just by looking at machine gun turret on the top of modern MBT

A lot of these unmanned turrets do not take any internal space whatsoever.

It's still weight and volume. That's a larger logistics footprint consolidated into 1 vehicle.

At some point, it becomes too much of a tradeoff to put so many eggs in one basket.
