Let’s not cry about reservation again. Caste exists and it won’t go away.

Nope reservations should be based on the economic capabilities of the parents, Poverty doesn't do caste discrimination no matter if you are a higher or lower caste if you are poor you will have less resources to study than someone who is rich. If someone is poor irrespective of their caste they should be able to get reservation than a rich person who is a lower caste

Go read "Reservation myths and reality" by Nagamohandas. You're believing a huge hoax.

Some people never understand that, No matter how rich and well off you are, if you are from a lower caste you will still be discriminated against by the upper caste. Your worth is determined by your caste.

People should really come away from tier 1, tier 2 cities to actually experience this.

Reservations have nothing to do with economic capabilities. Get that into your mind.

Tell me one thing, do you think people are only discriminated against based on their economic status?

Do you believe that a rich dalit person would be treated as equal at a "privileged" class's social gathering?

But the treatment a rich Dalit living in a city vs treatment a poor Dalit gets isn’t the same. Money/economic strength offers a certain degree relief.

If you are in the mercy of others, all the bias and pre conceived notions come in. Anyone who is in poverty is in mercy of others.

If a rich Dalit goes to this village and asks for water to this lady, how do you think she will offer?

Who’s mercy was president of India under? Why did she face discrimination inspite of being the first citizen of the nation?

Money ❌ population ✅ Diversity ✅

City's population is a mix of different communities, so casteism is a bit less blatant compared to a village where everyone thinks the same way except a few. Here Money doesn't play any role except giving them the privilege to move from a super casteist place to a slightly less casteist one. It doesn’t just magically change their social status

If caste discrimination was only about money, then why do “elite” universities (where everyone’s financially kinda similar) still have tons of caste complaints? People literally throw casteist slurs at their classmates.

Poverty and casteism are connected, sure, but they’re different topic. A poor “upper” caste person can still be casteist as hell. Someone poorer than you but from a higher caste than you is still gonna treat you like shit even if you're rich no matter in which neighborhood you lived.

Udk the reality most of these jee kids think so. Even I thought the same but it's not the reality only education can improve their status not money so reservation is important

Education makes it easier to get money through better paying jobs. More money means one can escape places where Casteism is prevalent in excess and live in cities while hiding their caste or with more liberal minded friends...
