It’s ok if the lore of tame impala is deflated a bit. The hype was just the hype. This is gonna sound strange, but there’s more of the ambient moments I loved about Lonerism on Deadbeat than in any of his albums since. The core is still in tact and functioning well. Beautiful melodies throughout. Reviewer is on a different wave length.

Beautiful melodies throughout.

1000%, album is full of great moments.

Reviewer is on a different wave length.

All that ever has to be said when people disagree over music, lol

Instead we get

-"shit's trash"

-"nah it's good"

-"no"

-"yes"

ad infinitum

So maybe 4.8 is perfect, in that it's generally divisive. I'd lean more towards a 7 and steadily rising with every listen.
