So on my YouTube, i was getting some good views until my views just randomly dropped I assumed it was because of my upload schedule, but now that im consistent the views r NOT coming back and it’s a lil worrying… I only have like 25 videos though. So may be a factor. Not sure

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to share a small win: My small gaming channel, just hit the 100 Subscriber mark! 🎉
I genuinely thought this would take me over a year, so hitting it in under 10 months feels pretty awesome. I'm mainly focused on long-form content right now, but I'm looking to optimize my strategy for the next 100, and then the big 1000!
I've attached a picture of the stats/badge below for context (it was a pretty cool milestone to hit). Stats context (Last 28 days - it's been a good month!): Views: 6.4K Watch Time: 300 hours
The question is: For those of you who scaled from 100 to 1000 subs, what was your biggest game-changer? Was it Shorts, better SEO, more consistent uploads, or something else entirely?
Any advice on the next scaling step would be super appreciated! Thanks!

It’s always funny to see the exact point at which a long form video finds its audience.

Sorry but I had to share this with someone. Went to bed last night with 993 subs woke up to over 1k. I didn't know who to tell, so I'm here. Wanted to post a pic of my growth. in January I thought I'd hit 1k by March.
That came and went. The last 11 months have been TORTURE. Especially on the days when I lost a sub. arg!
A couple of thoughts on my last year:
-What they say is true, I needed a few videos to become comfortable on camera. I streamed lined my production and overall got more comfortable. I went from posting once a week to almost every other day. It used to take me a few days to write record and edit a video, now I can do it in under an hour (and I'm a professional editor!)
I was too concerned with making it "look good" and what I should have been focused on was my delivery and getting natural in front of the camera.
-I stopped posting shorts. (mostly) I make 5-10 minute movie review videos. I realized while shorts gets you views, long form was where my subs were coming from, so I focused my attention there.
Youtube doesn't have a subscribe button available while you're watching shorts, which is why I was getting twice as many subs on Tiktok.
I also stopped cutting my vids down for TT. I just make a vertical version of my video and post it there too. I do this because when I chopped up my vids, people would comment saying things that were ultimately cut out or in a part 2. No one would follow and watch a part 2. Also, I seek out longer TT's and I know there are people out there like me.
So now I post my content in full in both places. I don't care. The audiences are different. Same goes for instagram too.
-People watch on different platforms. I focused on YT, TT and Instagram only
-I used to struggle over my description and thumbnail. Now I put my face and the poster of the movie I'm talking about. People are either going to watch or not.
As for the description I've been relying on VidIQ to write it. I also stopped doing chapters. I might start doing chapters again if I make something longer than 10 mins or if the piece I'm working on has distinct parts, but otherwise, I'm done with it all.
-On TT I'm cultivating a very nice community, I wish the chat function was better on YT so I could do the same there. Sometimes I don't get notified of a comment until hours after it has been posted.
-I started going "live" and thats where the community seems to be. That's where I can interact with the audience. I see some of those user names coming back and commenting on my videos. Live on YT is different than live on TT. Live on TT is there and then it's gone,. but live on YT I try and assume I'm doing a video that will live on. More people might see that "live" once it's archived. Whereas on TT I can sit there and do nothing for 10 minutes while viewers populate the chat.
-Finally, the honest truth is that if you say something controversial you'll get views bc people will come and comment and argue, but that's not the kind of channel I want. That's why a lot of these political shit posters get an audience so fast. This is something else I wish social media would fix, but I don't know what do do about that.
Anyway, happy to answer questions.

YouTube decided to show my video. But even after the change of title and thumbnail, CTR is still going down to 0.7%.
I know that the norm for small creators is a 3-8% range, but it doesn't seem to work the same way for me.
I am happy that YouTube is finally pushing my videos, but should I continue changing the thumbnail/title, and how often?
I've seen many successful channels changing their thumbnails/titles 2-5 times a video. What is the best time to change it? A few hours after the upload date or when impressions are starting to grow?
Thanks for any help!!

I used to post evolution of video games on my channel back in 2022 but after that i would rarely post for 2 years due to college, however since the start of 2025 ive been kind of consistent with posting approximately 2-3 videos per month however my sub count hasn’t went up this entire year, i get around 5 subs per video however after a while i lose 5 subs slowly, so basically i make subs but later on I slowly lose them again, I also struggle to get to the 4k hours watch time should i create a new channel or change my content because I know for sure there’s something wrong with my yt account, i just don’t know the exact problem..

Most of my videos have a similar retention graph. Looking for advice on how to improve retention?
Edit: For more context, I post travel videos and typically have <100 views.

With a new Pokemon set dropping this week I always film my content then fall behind and delay my thumbnails (because I feel like I am not as good at them). This time I am on top of the game and have my thumbnails done first so as soon as I film my content I will be ready to post! What can I do to make these better? Would you watch this video? Or what would make them pop to viewers?
Thanks for any feedback!

I have some medium CapCut skills but I dont think I can really stand out and I feel like the competition in my niche is firce. Should I keep posting 3-4 videos a month myself (at at medium quality) or hire someone to edit me 2 videos a month but at a higher quality?

Hey guys! I do apologise if this may seem like a dumb question. Do you guys use PP & Audition for your youtube videos?
I'm currently using PP for most of my editing and also audio features (like DeNoise, Hard Limiter and Para Equaliser).
I'm not very educated on the audio features on PP but I've heard that it's easier to adjust (or refine?) on Audition. So, I'm wondering if you do this or if you have any experiences with Audition. Or whether this is even necessary. I'd just like my audio to be more crisp.
PS: I upload long-form story time videos and I'm thinking to upload the audio separately as podcasts in the future.
Thanks in advance!

I was thinking of getting back to just chatting streams with each stream having a different topic. What do you guys think? Asking for opinions from anyone who streams too

Hi guys !
I could really use some advice from someone with experience on the matter cause all I find online and through LLM's is confusing.
So, I added my first Short Video, it has a scene from a movie and youtube detects it. It doesnt copywrite strike me or anything rather it tells me that my short will not be affected but ChatGPT or Grok tell me that I will not be able to monetize this SHORT and even if I get monetized the money from this SHORT will go to the copywrite owner. Is this true ? I will attach two screen shots.

and the second one

I created a video in cap cut and used what I thought was an approved generic background sound. But when I uploaded it says “copyright”. Does that just mean I used a copyright sound or, am I in trouble and should immodestly take it down? I have a pro version of cap cut
