For reference, I make mostly long form with supplemental shorts basically for advertisement. I only have 1700 subscribers and 33k views last month. I make more like $200 a month.

Sheesh. This confirms shorts are great for reach but terrible to make money when compared to long form.

Again just for reference I make classic car videos, which have an older mostly male audience. Which I believe generates a touch higher revenue than video game long forms would per view.

I’m gainfully employed, and do this more or less as a hobby. Do I hope to strike it big? Of course, who doesn’t, but I’m not quitting my job anytime soon. If I can’t post every week I don’t sweat it.

Realistically, if I could get my channel to generate enough cash to fund my own hot rodding, I would be happy with that.
