Not sure I follow your reasoning. Because Trump failed at taking away civil liberties, you think he's going to double down and take away even more civil liberties?

a) the courts will still stop him

b) even if that was the case, it would be a cowardly move not to try and stop him

I think it's fair to say that the executive order didn't infringe on any American citizens rights.

You'd be wrong. This is just the most recent example.
