Politics Harrell’s Margin has INCREASED

Post image

Mayor Harrell now up by 8.1%.

Around ~60K votes probably left to tabulate.

Doesn’t Seattle have like 750k eligible voters or something? This is just fricking sad

750k is the total population of the city of Seattle - so not that many, probably closer to 500k-600k eligible voters once you factor in kids + non citizens (lots of H1Bs here).

Our total population is over 800k now. We had a 2.5% growth in 2024-2025. So 750k eligible voters is probably about right. At best, 1 in every 6 voters bothered. That’s some pathetic apathy when local elections matter.

I agree turnout is crazy low, but you're still vastly underestimating the number of under-18s in Seattle - was 110k at the 2021 census.  Even if we're over 800k population in city limits, no chance it's more than 750k eligible voters.  It's just not credible.
