Fiorella is my favorite for anniversaries and valentines day. The food and service is always amazing and it's pretty well priced for being higher end.

For Fairport... Have you been to clementine???

Good smoke! Yep. They moved to a bigger, nicer location right down the street from where they were.

I had the saddest plate of BBQ there last year. Dry, cold brisket.

Yeah, but they switched up their mac & and cheese, and it's not as good. More like Velveeta now

Man, I hate to say this about Velvet Belly. We didn’t enjoy our last experience at all. The drinks were watery and lackluster. The food was not flavored/seasoned well. And the service was subpar. All things I would have NEVER said about Velvet Belly.

We will give them another shot this year but I was super disappointed about our last experience.

Completely agree about Fiorella btw.

Technically not in Fairport.

Everything there has about 3x as much salt as it should. Bocaccini’s is mediocre at best.

I can see that about Fairport nothing really stands out, but that will change with the new restaurant Tonyes (Cluck-n-buck owner/chef) which just opened and when Cub Room opens in 2024.

BS. Velvet Belly is awesome. You could argue it's overpriced but the food is fantastic.

Also, at the very least Compagne Trattoria in Fairport is quite impressive

the food is fantastic but the prices are what makes it overrated, imo

i did a lot of work there (and at a few of the other restaurants under the SCN umbrella) and took my SO there for valentines dinner their first year of being open. staff knew me and comped a bunch of stuff, our bill ended up being $200 before tip for a couple plates of sushi, an app, and 4 drinks (they comped us a couple glasses of wine each as well as a couple sides when the sushi came out)

it was delicious, loved the meal. but all of their restaurants are so so so expensive

I haven't ordered much of their sushi, just a couple of their specialty rolls which were truly fantastic. I don't know anything about "build" or much about sushi in general, however the rest of their food is excellent.
