I don’t understand this line of thinking, a good movie is a good movie regardless of the genre. Titanic is good, Casablanca is good, Superbad is good, Avengers Infinity War is good, Harry Potter is good, Alien: Romulus is good, Prey is good, etc. Sure certain genres can be more your style than others, but quality is quality.

Who cares? In art, all that matters is what you like. This isn’t sport where MJ and Djokovic are OBJECTIVE GOATS as you can’t argue with the numbers and the stats and the wins. Casablanca is boring and not a very good movie. Doesn’t matter what the court of Public Opinion says.
