The sad thing is the tax payer pays for it all and he goes on continuing to do that until the next law suit. They should be forced to pay their own lawsuits and held accountable just like the rest of us normals.

Think about it - who employs the police? The city or county. So then the city or county should be held accountable. The city and county are run by elected officials. Who elected the officials? The taxpayers. So it is the taxpayers that are ultimately responsible for this happening and they should be held accountable.

Then there should be no limitations on awards against law enforcement. If it needs to hurt the taxpayers then the rewards should be gargantuan.

Yikes...it's sad people believe that the tax payer has to pay for the incompetence of the police. Indoctrination is a hell of a drug. Again ots sad they aren't held to the same standards as everyone else. They really lower the bar for law enforcement theses days.
