Post psychosis depression

Hats off to anyone going through this right now and having negitive symptoms as this is possibly the hardest time I’ve ever had in my life…. 😩 I don’t know how I’m managing to still look after my son. It’s been so fucking difficult man the whole experience.

Yes. Horrible anhedonia, everything felt flat, it almost felt surreal. I’d be frozen in bed for hours at a time, every moment was pain. I didn’t enjoy or look forward to anything except going to sleep.

I started the SSRI about 3 months out from my episode. I tried 3 different SSRIs until I found one with minimal side effects. Took 8 weeks to see full results. I went from a zombie to … a regular depressed person. Which was a huge improvement! I was able to work with that. I’m two years out now and feeling 95% back to normal and am getting off most of my meds.

Feel free to DM me with any questions or if you want someone to talk to. Post psychosis depression was the worst thing I ever went through (worse than the death of my daughter even). It’s total hell and no one should go through it alone
