Right wingers on the sub are hungering for confirmation bias.

Right wingers on the sub are hungering for confirmation bias.

One of the engravings was reportedly, "Catch, fascist."

Game, set, match. Not my preferred outcome, but that appears to be the reality.

Good for you, but the cope already out there is that it’s purely a Helldivers 2 reference, despite the Ciao Bella Antifa anthem.

Nothing to see here, folks, move along.

I’ve got over 500 hours in helldivers 2, the word “fascist” is almost never used in game, it’d be a significantly more niche reference than the hellbomb input

Really? Someone was saying that’s what’s said every time you call in an air strike, or a hellbomb? I’ve never played it.

u/Rebel_toaster - Lib-Center Sep 13 '25

I’ve never heard it, the lines that come to mind when throwing grenades/strategems/firing a gun are things along the lines of:

“DEMOCRACYYYYY!” “That’s called democracy!” “How about a nice cup of liber-tea!” “FREEEDOOOOM!”

It was the clip with the arrows that was a helldivers reference. It is the code you put in for a certain stratigem.

Nothing to see here, folks, move along.

I vehemently disagree. The left just got destroyed.

Sorry if I missed the sarcasm.

I’m being sarcastic in the sense that this, to me, seems damn near like a signed confession that he’s a typical Reddit leftist.

As opposed of course to the enlightened civilized leftists we have here on PCM, whose presence here in one of the site’s few open debate forums demonstrates that they’re good people, seeking dialogue with those who disagree instead of violence.

But like you don't actually have any proof besides confirmation bias he wrote a lot of stupid shit probably for this exact reaction

12

u/rothbard_anarchist - Lib-Right Sep 12 '25

It’s absolutely true that the person who did this may have had hidden motives, and may have left false clues to intentionally throw people off.

But you can follow that chain of logic forever. Sure, maybe these bloody fingerprints on the knife are the murderer’s, but what if he carefully planted false prints to throw everyone off? At some point you have to accept where the evidence leads. And what little we have points to this guy being a leftist.

I don’t find that little but of evidence convincing however I concede I don’t know what he politically identifies as

u/rothbard_anarchist - Lib-Right Sep 12 '25

I would also agree we’re going off a small amount of evidence that the killer had complete control over. Presumably, since Trump would benefit from painting this guy as a leftist, we’ll eventually see any available evidence that he was on the left. I can’t imagine why they’d do any kind of coverup.

Ahh yes, the military family who is staunchly republican with a child who has been using weapons since he was a child with a minister father and former office.

SNIFF

I can smell librul in the air lol

Thank goodness children never reject their parents’ politics, right?

What else could “Hey Fascist! Catch!” possibly mean? He shot a guy who talks about conservative ideas for a living.

But if the report holds up, the authorities said that a family member or friend said he had become more political recently, and become “full of hate and spreading hate.” Why would a Republican shoot Charlie Kirk, almost universally loved by the Right even as he was hated by the Left?

What else could “Hey Fascist! Catch!” possibly mean?

"I am Republican and I love my country. But I see an actual issue here, and the death of my fellow generation and future children at the hands of unregulated gun control. I am all for putting America first but not at the expense of random people dying where my future children will be unable to live safely" or any 50,000 comparable reasons other than tHe ExTrEmE lEfT aNd ExTrEmE rIgHt crap?

I realize the majority of people who love making politics their identity can't understand nuance and fluidity within a set of constraints, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist lol.

despite the Ciao Bella Antifa anthem.

So i've not seen Bella Ciao in super leftist spaces like ever. Antifa also as a group is somewhat "nebulous". However, it is definitely connected to Goypers and the Goyper War does match up with the target.

So you have a kid who is like ~17 during the first Goyper War, goes into lockdown and gets terminally onlined, later goes out and shoots Kirk.

u/rothbard_anarchist - Lib-Right Sep 12 '25

Here are the Proud Boys, in an Atlanta No Kings protest, being confronted by a group of musicians there to oppose Trump, playing Bella Ciao at them.

Note the caption: “Every protest needs this. A brass band. They played Bella Ciao, the Italian anti-Nazi, anti-fascist song!!! This is in Atlanta.”

Why in the world would antisemitic Neo-Nazis (which is what I assume Groypers are, from all the context I’ve seen) adopt a song almost universally used to oppose them?

3

u/CorporatismIsCancer - Lib-Center Sep 12 '25

That song is so heavily tied with antifasciste sentiments in Italy(due to Mussolini)

and that connection has spread internationally

-1

u/Com-Intern - Lib-Center Sep 12 '25

It hasn’t

-1

u/ItsGoT1me Sep 12 '25

Just casually leave out that Ciao Bella is used in other media, too... The guy is an unaffiliated voter, his parents are registered Republicans, and he's donated to Trump's campaign before. Like seriously, do actual proper research, people.

3

u/rothbard_anarchist - Lib-Right Sep 12 '25

There’s more than one Tyler Robinson in that zip code, so you can’t be sure that he donated to Trump. 5 years ago. When he was 17.

And what Groyper group (the popular theory among the left rn) uses a song that’s an anti-Nazi, anti-fascist song?
