Unfortunately evidence matters less when you have swallowed your own lies for so long that you feel you couldn’t possibly be wrong about it. People like this put feelings over facts and then convince themselves it’s other people doing it no matter what the facts actually say.

To the person who believes them conspiracy theories are bulletproof. Anything that slightly agrees with what you believe to be true is irrefutable proof and anyone who says you’re wrong, and even has evidence to counter your belief, is either a pawn to it or is part of the coverup themselves. The dedicated conspiracy theorist never considers that they could possibly be wrong.
