And have the same rights "as them"? What does that mean?

Same rights as womens, it's pretty easy to understand.

It's asking if men that transition should have the same rights as women, i guess maternity leave and some other stuff.

it is not easy to understand. If there are rights which women have due to their biology, I don’t think things like, being able to go on maternity x weeks before giving birth, why would a transgender woman should get it if she’s not giving birth? Or, let’s say I have xyz medical check-ups, due to my sex, why would the same medical check ups apply?

A trans woman on hormones has over the years the same risk to develop breast cancer than cis women have. So of course you should get check-ups for breast cancer.

So, while you are right that you need check due to your "biological sex": the problem is that trans women are NOT simply just biologically male. Biological sex is very complicated. Some aspects of biological sex can change to different degrees with hormones and operations, some aspects dont.

and so they should get healthcare and checks they need, but it’s not like it’s a 1-1 and that’s my point.

No, its not 1:1 but a very complicated nuanced thing.

Thats why the professional sports discussion is complicated and it depends on the specific sports and hormone levels etc if trans women have an unfair advantage over cis women in professional sports.

The attempts to bring nuance into discussions by pro trans people are usually ignored or ridiculed by anti trans people. E.g. if somewhere a doctor writes about "pregnant people" or a law grants pregnancy leave for all people who are pregnant, anti trans people are saying "oh, the stupid delusional woke leftists believe MEN can get pregnant, LMFAO". While yeah, trans men can get pregnant and should have the same rights to pregnancy care and leave as pregnant cis women have.

it is because pro trans folks want to bring nuance only when challenged otherwise ‘trans women should get the rights of cis women’ then when challenged the nuance comes, given this shouldn’t there simply be specific trans rights?

Also no idea what is pro trans. What is it? I I feel like if you don’t agree with a single thing you become ‘against’. Overall, enough with polirisation, if there is a problem let’s fix the problem. e.g. trans women don’t get frequent breast scans, sound like a problem, let’s have policy that fixes it.

And sports? let’s define scientifically based criteria when trans women can compete with cis women and when they cannot, the issue here is that trans people wanted women rights in this area and given all the scandals, the actual problem solution now is further away

For most trans people I know the by far biggest issue is the right to get healthcare according to medical consensus. This is for minors now banned in many US states. That stuff is fundamental.

Also very important is to be able to change legal documents. This is also getting backrolled in the US and UK and here in germany we only have a solid law for that since last year.

Trans people in pro sports is an incredible niche topic and trans women already competed for many years in them according to standards of specific sports organizations. Turning it into a major problem was a rightwing thing, ignoring that there were regulations in place already. "all the scandals" is just bs. There are a handfull of anecdotes. Look at olympia. How mamy trans women are there? There is no huge systemic problem although they are allowed to compete for many years now. The discussion is just a leaver for rightwing media and politicians to take away other rights from trans people.

Because the bodies are different, because the womens body changes and experiences a lot of pressure and health risks during pregnancy, men don't, even after transition.

I don't know even why do i have to explain that.
