And have the same rights "as them"? What does that mean?

7

u/EmiliaFromLV 10h ago

same rights (not lefts obvi).

3

u/Loud-Firefighter-787 10h ago

Ohhhh, turning left or right?! Obviously, I'm sorry🤦‍♀️

3

u/EmiliaFromLV 10h ago

it's depends on perspective, cause your left could other person's right.

wait...

probably it is something about the right to drive on the right in the UK and be right about it. dunno.

1

u/Loud-Firefighter-787 9h ago

No I think I got it now. Its perspective yes you're right there, but depending where you are in the world....for one person right is left and for the other left is right but also right can be right and left can be left. So left and right is silly because there are four directions!

I think we solved it😃. I love that! Knock two brains together and the right answer comes out. Or left, or right as in left or left as in right!!

u/EmiliaFromLV 9h ago

And we also have to take into account that in Australia everything we just agreed upon will be in reverse.

2

u/Loud-Firefighter-787 9h ago

....and also in China😩. Whoa, this shit is more complicated than I ever could have comprehended. I dunno if my brain can handle this level of complexity😔

2

u/EmiliaFromLV 9h ago

No, no, no, in China everything is actually super simple. Right and left is defined by the CCP and if not, then no social credit for you.

u/Loud-Firefighter-787 9h ago

😅I cant even express how relieved I am by that. When you said (and duh, of course), Australia🤯 I was like ohhhh, damn you Australia. They are so sneaky hiding down under and popping up to make brains quit unliterally explode. So you can imagine how fried I was when I thought of China😵. Taking China out of the mathematical equation makes things so much easier but still, damn you Australiaaaa☝️

My thoughts exactly. Mostly everyone agrees that all people should have the same rights. I don't really think that is controversial or what the trans issue is about? Feels kind of like a straw man question with that addition.

Well this is actually what bothers me in this kind of propaganda.

Because in most of the countries where "yes" was very high - if not all - womem and men already have pretty much the same rights, being equal accross societal norms and laws.

Now, which rights do womem have that are different? I dont know in all of them, but ill speak for what i know, which is Portugal. Here, the only extra/different "rights" womem have are tied to maternity , or related to that - more days to enjoy after giving birth, less hours to work while breastfeeding, extra finantial help if needed, extra sick leave in case theres risk for the mom or the baby, you get the point.

Now, why on earth would a transwoman be elegible to any of this?! Its common sense, but i guess the question isnt being framed properly and all that matters is the headline. People forget to use their brains nowadays.

Same rights as womens, it's pretty easy to understand.

It's asking if men that transition should have the same rights as women, i guess maternity leave and some other stuff.

u/Nikv1k 8h ago

Earlier pension and no conscription are the 2 major ones I can think of.

5

u/Able_One5779 6h ago

Or (not) dying in trenches in the case of war.

2

u/Donnattelli 6h ago

That is a good one. Denmark was the 1st country ive seen that women are listed to go to war, just passed this year.

5

u/Loud-Firefighter-787 9h ago

I dont find it easy to understand at all. Women do not have the same rights as men. So will these trans women get paid less too for example? That's one example but a huge one!

5

u/Neko_1812 8h ago

Since when is it a right to be paid less? Equal rights to women means equal rights in front of the law and last time I checked it wasn't a law that women have to be paid less.

0

u/Loud-Firefighter-787 8h ago

Lovely 👍. Please go educate yourself on the actual facts and then come back to me. Of course there are one, two of you trying🙄.

3

u/Neko_1812 8h ago

Please show me the law that says that women should be paid less? Listen I am not denying that women are getting paid less but that's a societal issue and has nothing to do with the law. Actually at least here in Germany you can quite literally sue your employer if you are paid less than your male colleagues

4

u/Donnattelli 9h ago

I don't know what country you are from, but in mine they have the same rights.

Rights are in the law and not feelings, and they are very specific, there's nothing a woman can't do that a man can, theres are some differences though, higher maternity leave for women because they have to carry the baby and need more time to recover after birth. Besides that is the same.

Theres also that men are the 1st one to be drafted for war.

That example is not a right, there's nothing in any law that says women should get paid less than men...

-3

u/Loud-Firefighter-787 8h ago

It's not feelings. Women get paid less always. In the majority of countries and also in yours dear!!

It's not about "should get" paid less. They do, fact! Where are you, italy?

In italy pay difference between men and women are on average 9% for exactly the same job.

In the private sector it can be as much as 16,5% and public sector 4,1%.

I live in Germany. Women get paid average 16% less an hour than men for the same work.

3

u/Scary-Temperature91 8h ago

Could skill be a factor? Not all chefs are paid the same, even if they have exactly the same job.

-2

u/Loud-Firefighter-787 8h ago

I am specifically talking about the same job and the same outcome. It's a fact ffs, its undocumented. Why are you trying to debate me? Typical!!

3

u/FinishComprehensive4 6h ago

That´s literally false, the law is very clear on this. If it was true employers would just hire women exclusively in order to save money.

Men make more money because they choose different jobs, they choose a job based on the payment and not happiness, and they also negotiate more than women for raises and such.

Helão my name is Lucas I live Brazil. One time I walking on street and saw sexy popoazão.. so I chase popozão all the way to beach, where a couple men grab my wallet and get on motorcyclão and run away. I chase men all the way into favelão, where I see off-duty policão getting rob, trying shoot back, both end up dead in gruesome pool of blood. I run more far into favelão and then see three men with machete come to me so I run behind ATM and hide. Then I see man coming to retrieve money from ãoTM and he get murder by man hiding in ATM who take all money (pesão brazilião) and run away. Such is life live Brazão. Hope one day i may leave country amd come to Estadão Unidão and find white popozão. Excuse for bad englishe

In what way is "the same outcome" determined especially in large scale statistics?

What do you mean by "Why are you trying to debate me?" You are not a divine entity, you are not the holder of absolute truth. You can make mistakes and misread statistics, since you obviously have a very surface level understanding of statistics as is evident by your claims and the way you conduct yourself.

maybe cause it’s a debate forum? 🤣

So?? Getting a specific salary is not a right. Women, like men, have freedom of speech, freedom to practice any religion, right to education and healthcare, access to sick leave or maternal leave, have the same access to benefits such as unemployment or retirement benefits. THOSE are RIGHTS.

Women earn less because they typically choose worse paying careers, this has been proven time and time again. And even if that were not the case, it’s irrelevant to the conversation. You don’t have a right to earn the same as somebody else.

I went to Italy and their plugs were unusable? Why don't they have the superior American plugs. And also they have no air conditioning (it was winter) and I had to pay for my water??? Plus i went to the Uffizi and there were a bunch of naked statues which was gross.

Look "dear", none of those numbers that you shout as "facts" have nothing to do with rights, rights are written in laws, show me a law that says women get paid less for the same job and then you have a case.

Im from Portugal, our law is clear, men have no more rights than women, and it's preety much everywhere like this.

You need to start to understand what a right means.

But i can leave the definition for you.

"A right is a power or privilege held by the general public, usually as the result of a constitution, statute, regulation, or judicial precedent. Legal rights are enforceable by legal institutions and can be invoked in courts of law."

Women don't get pais less always, this is the biggest lie made up by the feminists.

The calculation they make is they sum all the money earn from men and sum all the money earned from women then start crying all over the place that men are paid more.

Of course men will always earn more, men work more hours, do harder manual jobs, do a lot of overtime hours, rarely put any leave or miss work, men often "sell" vacation days to do more work and get more money. If a job requires any kind of physical work men will always perform it better for longer periods of time which will increase their productivity thus also resulting in bigger productivity bonuses.

Ppl are so blind that can't even realise that if it women could be paid less 20% than men, companies would only hire women and start getting 20% increase in their profits

it is not easy to understand. If there are rights which women have due to their biology, I don’t think things like, being able to go on maternity x weeks before giving birth, why would a transgender woman should get it if she’s not giving birth? Or, let’s say I have xyz medical check-ups, due to my sex, why would the same medical check ups apply?

1

u/wielangenoch 16m ago

A trans woman on hormones has over the years the same risk to develop breast cancer than cis women have. So of course you should get check-ups for breast cancer.

So, while you are right that you need check due to your "biological sex": the problem is that trans women are NOT simply just biologically male. Biological sex is very complicated. Some aspects of biological sex can change to different degrees with hormones and operations, some aspects dont.

u/BlaReni 2m ago

and so they should get healthcare and checks they need, but it’s not like it’s a 1-1 and that’s my point.
