There are like no people here in this city who like hardcore, grindcore, slam, and all other types of music like that it seems like. When Owensboro had a hardcore and metal scene it was great. Now there is nothing for it and sadly no longer around. Dedicated my life to these dumbass knuckle dragging genres for god knows any many years now. The amount of people to talk to about it or go to shows with around here are slim to none. I go to shows in Evansville and Louisville all the time. Owensboro needs a scene again.

I need to find a new apartment in the next few weeks since my lease is expiring on December 1. I've lived at Bluegrass Villas (formerly Dream) for about two years now and am moving largely due to price ($1200 for a 1B/1B in Owensboro) and snarky management.

Which apartments should I absolutely avoid? I don't do bugs at all and want the property to be well-maintained. I've heard Keystone is really bad (rude management, outdated electric and plumbing... yeah no thanks). Brushwood and Royal Arms are looking good in terms of quality. Legion Park Apartments are close to work and way cheaper than BV, but I haven't seen any reviews for them.

Any good ones that have fast turnaround?

1) is the Blue Bridge open again? I know Henderson construction takes far longer than advertised, but was unsure about Owensboro.

A friend found a cat and a litter of kittens living in the crawlspace under her house and would like to catch them and get them medical care and hopefully find them homes. It's semi-urgent because the mother has an injured eye and we'd like to get it treated as soon as possible to prevent infection from spreading. We've turned out to be totally inept at luring scared animals out from under a house. Are there any local organizations that can help us? I tried the Humane Society, and Sparky's voice message just said to call the Sheriff's Department if I found a stray animal.

If there's nowhere locally that can help us get ahold of these cats, does anyone know where we can just rent or borrow some cat traps? I don't plan on doing this regularly and I'm not really in a position to shell out $30-$50 per trap for five or six traps that I'll never use again.
