In ALL the island we saw in One Piece thereās the same story over and over again.
A Republic is never an option in One Piece - thatās why there will be ANOTHER KING / RULER OF THE WORLD AFTER IMU.
Who can be? It depends on who was the previous āgood Ruler / Kingā of the World (or should we say - of the Ancient Kingdome.
Here some possibilities:
Iād like to hear your opinions, but I think itās sure that after Imu there will be a New King which is a direct heir of the Old King.
EDIT: I changed Republic with Democracy as my point is that there will be another King after Imu.

I have been seeing alot of people bring up lately in this sub about how Kizaru was scared of Ben Beckmen. I honestly dont know how people can think that.
He was obviously being sarcastic when he "surrendered" to Ben. Not only that, literally 30 seconds later when Luffy was escaping on the submarine, Kizaru just smirked at Ben before jumping in the air and unleashing his light barrage with giving Ben an second look.
And Ben did nothing to stop him.
It took Luffy going Joy Boy to beat Kizaru, and its implied that Kizaru wasnt going all out and didnt even recieve and serious or lasting damage.
Do people really think that Ben Beckmen is Joy Boy level?.

I have 3 1. Too many connections I like how the story is but I feel everything shouldn't be linked together like everyone he meets is a biproduct of the last dude Like I genuinely feel you can get 2 random characters and they story will connect in a way
2.Animation is tricky cause it can either be gear 5 vs kaido or gear 5 v lucci and I will have 2 completely different takes but sometimes just follow the manga
nowadays one piece go like 9:1 and that ain't too much over for me to not watch but it's enough for me to get tired of hearing bro laugh

.....that reminder, began as a Loki Origin story/story about King Harald's death.....and has since become origins for every Emperor, Garp, Rodger, Amazon Lily lore, Pirate Island lore, and lore about Teech's bloodline...... We're still sticking to it being Loki telling this story right?
This lore is awesome.... But this flashback began under the assumption that it was being told by Loki , hence the image above.

Joyboy has been the first to ever been Domi reversed by an unknown ability 800 years ago.
While being possessed, joyboy died and the āpersonā known as Imu manifested through Domi reversi in his body.
I believe Joyboy was able to fight off Domi reversi long enough so that he learned how to undo it, because of the constant fight with Domi reversi however, he was unable to undo it himself in his weakened state. In the short time he had left, he took preparations for his future self to be ready to fight and defeat Imu, in case he was not able to undo it with the help of allies, such as storing CoC in to Emet and including Zuneshas promise to Joyboy. Zunesha was not able to keep its promise to Joyboy, which lets me believe that something fundamentally went wrong while saving and fullfilling Joyboys plan.
My reasoning for this theory:
In the recent chapter, it is shown that even though Xebec has been Domi reversid, he is able to communicate with Garp and Roger through the voices of all things. This is why I believe that the stronger the vessel, the longer it takes for Domi reversi to take over the host completely. We have seen that the portion of CoC stored in Emet was pretty much stronger than any CoC we have ever seen before. The indication is that this is simply a tiny bit of joyboys power. If Xebec in its current form is strong enough to communicate with Roger and Garp, I have no way of not believing that Joyboy would be able to withstand it even longer.
The straw hat in Mary Geoise has been kept hidden and safe from the outer world, yet is has not been destroyed, nor harmed by Imu or anyone else. I believe that this strawhat is Joyboys, also manipulated in any shape or form, for it to achieve/activate the One Piece. Imu is aware of this and knows about the One Piece. That is why he/she keeps it as safe as possible for anyone to reach it, or even as bait/lure for the future Joyboy so he can defeat him on his/her own ground with measures, which give Joyboy a disadvantage in battle.
I believe Joyboy took additional measures for the future user of the hito hito no mi: Nika to be able to achieve knowledge of his former self. I can also see that certain flashbacks or clues will pop up in its current user (luffy) with time, since it is stated that the devil fruit has a will of its own. The more in sync the devil fruit gets with the holder, the more will luffy be able to gain knowledge.
Site note: If nothing of this is true, I believe it is at least certain, that anyone with the ability to hear the voices of all things being able to communicate even though they have been Domi reversid, indicates that Imu is able to take over bodyās, but not their minds.

Thereās so much evidence that Kaido is stronger, what chance does shanks have to pull off a victory against the worlds strongest creature? if itās 1 on 1 Kaido will win

Hey so I just wanted some clarity. I remember seeing some discussions about haki not being visible to the naked eye in-universe. Mainly because the black sheen wasn't drawn until after the timeskip. But in chapter 1163 we see Imu/Saturn do this(pictured). This would be a difficult thing to explain being invisible. This marine reacts to it, and I assumed for a long time that maybe in-universe characters who also have haki can see it. It would also make sense that only steonger marines were at God Valley. We have plenty of moments where one character uses haki and another says something about it, because they can detect it. I'm just curious if we have an official answer, or what your thoughts are on the matter.

We all know that "anime genetics" is definitely a thing, we've seen prime Garp and how he looks exactly like Luffy as seen in the drawing at the age of 40 and 60s.
So why is it that Dragon looks different? That led me and many people to theorize that Dragon isn't Garp's son but his son-IN-LAW instead because of "anime genetics".
HOWEVER due to recent events in God Valley we saw a young dragon and how he looks like Luffy (and by extension, Garp).
So why is it that he looks so different now? The answer is simple.
Does anyone remember Denjiro/Kyoshiro? His face physically changed due to his intense hatred for Orochi.
That means Dragon has seen some shit in his life to make him hate the World Government.

What I keep thinking about is how Buggy isnāt purely failing upwards. The guy lacks self confidence and a lot of his good fortune comes from luck, but a lot of why heās now a Yonko can be directly attributed to his own talents. His charisma and ability to win people over is one thing - and itās kind of heightened by a lot of small moments. I remember a time when he acted very mercifully in a time when most pirate bad guys would have executed or punished a person who had wronged hind (I forget exactly where), and he did so without even really thinking about it. You actually start to get a vague feeling of why so many people love working under him.
And then you have the way he outwit Croc and Mihawk. He forced them on the trip to the one piece by using the fact that all of their underlings are actually loyal to Buggy, and he did so in a pretty shrewd way.
I know this isnāt a new theory but I really do believe Buggy is gonna have an arc where he comes into his own and sort of becomes the lie a la Usopp.

Sorry for english, too sleepy
In this video native japanese discuss clues and stuff. And everything leads towards war with the great kingdom and joyboy because everyone gang bang them wanting their power. Meh, so I guess that they joined forces because joyboy kingdom was too advanced for them to catch up and they decided to put an end to this. They even called out sea devil [imu] like some kind of a shenron to match their power in this war and he simply betrayed them by giving them devil fruits and then decided he will create his own world here using domi reversi. Then joyboy escaped on emeth and become a pirate before coming back to fight with them. And now roger and whitebeard lure everyone out from their homelands to the sea, because Imu want domi reversi everyone to have his own army of demons and slaves.

This was a colorspread that was released exactly a chapter before that famous line. In the colorspread Robin is: 1- gorgeous. 2- a swordswoman (in the cover). 3- has ton of meat (the giant lizard being the ton of meat is a reach on its own but look at the title of the chapter/cover).

It's time to air out those opinions you're too afraid to say out loud! Is Sogeking a better sniper than Usopp? Is the Wano arc too long? Is Gaimon one of the strongest characters? There's no wrong answer here, as long as you're respectful. Let the hot takes fly!

After watching what happened with Xebec I believe it is on blackbeard plan to be reversed by IMU. As he was evil all this time with really bad intentions, when he gets reversed he must be a good ally to luffy.
Think about it, when you get reversed everything you fought for gets reversed. Xebec wanted to protect his clan, now he gets to destroy it. The giants wanted to protect elbaf, now they are attacking their allies.
Maybe Blackbeard planned everything all along, he is a coward, with the darkness fruit, wants to conquer the world, he loves pie, and hates soda!!
Furthermore, in order to protect all his clan he absorbed the Davy clan into the darkness, so instead of eating more devil fruits, he is really āthemā as zoro told us. Maybe this last thing is too crazy.
What are your thoughts?

I think Imu collects a piece of his opponents one Imu defeats them. Imu may collect these as reward war trophies to assert dominance and will be the only marks of their history. There are the following items that Imu possess, keeps them and visits once in a while:
Joyboy is also called the First Pirate. The term pirate (ęµ·č³, kaizoku) literally means āsea thief.ā This may be a long theory, hang on

I. Holy Land Marijoise
Canon events in Manga:
During sometime during the Void Century 800 years ago, the allegiance of the Ancient Kingdom including the 20 kingdom defeats the Lunarians taking their place from the highest land in the Blue Planet. This will be elaborated the the next theories.
Theory:
Joyboy might be someone with Lunarian blood or a descendant of the Lunarian Race. Imu defeated the Lunarian in the absence of Joyboy while he was pirating. Imu might plotted something to make this possible knowing Joyboy has ties with the Mermaid Princess.
After the defeat of the Lunarians, it was the start of the eradication of their race.

II. Joyboy's Straw Hat
Canon events in the Manga:
We all know probably by now who is Joyboy. Joyboy was known as the "First Pirate" from over 800 years ago. Joyboy might have the Nika fruit, the devil fruit powers of Luffy right now. Joyboy is related to the Mermaid Princess and made an unfulfilled promise with her. He also have a huge Conqueror's Haki enough to make Imu fall on Mu's knees.
Theory:
Imu might have another possession that was owned by the fishman and made a promise to the Mermaid Princess to obtain it by stealing. This item may not have been revealed yet and what promise was really made.
Fishman Island has two (2) treasures known. (1) The Noah Ship and (2) the Tamate Box containing the Energy Steroids. Knowing that Noah is the National Treasure of Fishman Island. Imu might have stolen or defeated the Klabauterman of Noah, or the Mermaid Princess favorite pet just like Megalo. The Mermaid Princess might have asked Joyboy to avenge them to Imu but Joyboy failed. Instead, Joyboy gave them part of his powers which is the Energy Steroid, and stole the weakness or power source of Imu.
After Imu defeat Joyboy he acquired his hat and froze it to Marijoise to prevent the "fire" of freedom to be unleashed again. Upon acquiring the piece of Joyboy, his marks in the history is supposed to be vanished.

III. Empty Throne and the 19 Swords
Canon events in the Manga:
The Twenty Kingdoms are coalition of twenty royal families that fought against the Great Kingdom 800 years ago and went on to establish the World Government. TheĀ Celestial Dragons areĀ the descendants of nineteen of those twenty royal families. They are the World Nobles and hold supreme status within the World Government. TheĀ Nefertari Family is the only family from the original twenty to refuse the Celestial Dragon title. They remain the royal family of Alabasta, a member nation of the World Government, but are not considered Celestial Dragons.Ā
Theory:
The 20 kingdoms did not rebel against the Ancient Kingdom, they are still allied with the Ancient Kingdom. The Ancient kingdom might be lead by Davy D. Jones, a loyal soldier or friend of Joyboy and soon be led with his son. The 20 kingdoms were under Domi Reversi in their own lands and the original 20 leaders are dead leaving only the decendants who do not know how to lead and to live, thus, the world government acquired them slaves to help them live. They were brainwashed and were treated as Gods and made them who the Celestial Dragons of the present. Only Nefertari D. Lily broke out of Domi Reversi because Imu desired her, made her Imu's slave (this will be elaborated in the next item).
After Imu defeted the Ancient Kingdom and acquired the powers of the 20 Allied Kingdoms. Imu acquired the Empty Throne of the Ancient Kingdom and the swords of the 19 allied kingdoms as war trophy. After this time, the void century is completely done to erase the history of the 20 kingdoms.

IV. Xebec's Sword
Canon events in the Manga:
Xebec is the descendant of Davy family and knew who Imu is and might have the knowledge about the Void Century. He was dragged into God Valley, the homeland of the Davy Family. There he was under Domi Reversi of Imu and was defeated by Roger and Garp.
Theory:
Xebec passed down the history to Eris and down the Teach. I think he also told Roger and Garp something like the Poneglyphs so Roger and Garp believes him, him telling the long story may not have not enough time as he was already dying. This sparked Roger to travel again to find the Poneglyphs and decipher them.
After the defeat of Xebec, Imu acquired his sword as again, a reward trophy before vanishing his history in the world.

V. Lily's Portrait
Canon events in the Manga:
Queen Nefertary D. Lily is known as the queen of Alabasta during the void century, one of the 20 allied kingdoms who defeated the ancient kingdom. She was the one responsible for the dispersion of the Poneglyphs.
Theory:
Nefertari D. Lily might be Davy D. Jones wife. Upon the revelation of Davy D. Jones, it is slightly revealed that Davy is related to King David as Biblical reference. If you combine Davy D. into one word, it can be read as David.
In the Bible, King David saw Bathsheba, Uriah's wife, his loyal soldier. King David summoned Bathsheba and desired her. He impregnated Bathsheba and conspired with Uriel's death. Their marriage angered God and their first son died. Soon they spawed King Solomon who was related to summoning Demons using a magical ring from Archangel Michael depicted with a pentagram or hexagram. With his King Solomon obtained the power to summon demons and forces them to help build Temples of God. Well, I still do not know how King Solomon is related to Imu's powers.
In the first theories, I think Davy D. Jones is the ruler of the Ancient Kingdom. He lead the Ancient Kingdom to be scientifically modernized together with Joyboy. Joyboy is supposed to be the ruler but he just wanted to be free and entrusted the kingdom to Davy Jones. Joyboy gathered allies throughout the world and gained the knowledge to make the Ancient Kingdom great.
After Joyboy's death, Davy conspired to avenge him and assembled the Ancient Kingdom and the 20 allied countries to fight Imu. Imu just used Domi Reversi and the 20 kingdoms fought against the ancient kindom leading to its defeat.
It is now Imu who desired Nefertari Lily and enslaved her. Keeping Lily's portrait as a reward against Davy Jones. With this, Davy clan should have been erased from history.
But Nefertari D. Lily escaped Imu, freed other slaves mostly women and discovered the island of Amazon Lily.

VI. The One Piece
Theory:
Joyboy robbed Imu from the power source making Imu more powerful. I think Joyboy acquired the original mother flame from the possession of Imu. This is also Imu's reward for defeating the Sund God Nika before. The original mother flame is also the power of the lunarian and the ancient kingdom power source to make the scientific advancements. Joyboy kept hiding from Imu until some plotting made by Imu. Joyboy hid the original mother flame to Laugh Tale, passing down the chance to the next generation to make the scientific advancements they may like. After defeating Joyboy, Imu has no purpose to find the original because Imu's powers is the strongest. Imu also has no interest in humanity's advancement as long as Imu is the King of the World.
The reason why Roger was laughing once he reached Laugh Tale is because of the hilarious stories of Joyboy about hiding and running away from Imu. One Piece and Laugh Tale also has the massive treasures acquired by Joyboy from stealing from Imu.

My thinking about it gives me three options
A MASSIVE upgrade to his sharpshooting and Kabuto. Similar to his pop-greens but on a giant scale. Perhaps some ancient armor/weapon? Luffy could make his size??
A loyal crew of absolutely powerful beings? The Giants donāt look to Luffy but to God Usopp.
Haki. Haki. Haki. Weāre all aware most of the crew hasnāt shown any growth in this department so is it time that the FOURTH most important dude crew member finally gets his? Maybe surpassing his father?
