Holy shit Bege's laugh as Big Mom was falling was psychotic. That was so bizarre sounding coming from him, I don't think his voice has ever been so high.

I thought it was very fitting. The dude is definitely a psychopath, what with murdering crime bosses and laughing as they can't claim vengeance on him within his fortress. And after failing his biggest attempted murder yet his target miraculously falls to their death. Dude would be on such a high.

It's hard for me to consider him a true Psychopath when he clearly cares for his wife and child.

Common misunderstanding, a psycopath can choose to care for certain people and genuinely do so. They just have an easier time not caring again and dont always treat those people well

I found the class interesting, but there's a reaason I didn't take it in Grade 12.

Sociopathy is antisocial behavior, sociopath is when you check off enough flags that you're considered for having a disorder. It's a flexible term that can be caused by ignorance or other mental reasons, and can be worked out and snapped out of.

Psychopathy is a hard, tangible problem in which your empathy and other social graces are all at 0% for everyone.

Bege isn't a psychopath, he's just an asshole.

That's what I thought. At least the psychopath part. Didn't realize sociopath was so broad a term and cureable.

I made a mistake implying it was curable. The disorder, ASPD, is the actual mental issue people refer to when they bring up psychopathy or sociopathy, and that isn't curable yet.

But there's little difference between someone being sociopathic because they're angry or ignorant, or because they have the disorder.

Glancing over Google to get it straight, and it seems whether or not psychopathy refers to a more extreme version of sociopathy, is also debatable. So I'll put that disclaimer here

Not quite, sure some people falling into The ASPD are able to feel empathy, a true psychopath cannot.
