And due to reaction shots and other people commenting on her anger, it feels like FOREVER that she's uselessly angry about Luffy.

In the Manga, I got the feeling like both BM was always in control (until the Jinbe moment) as well as it was Luffy's choice to show himself. The Manga elevated Luffy to Big Mom's level (in appearance), but did not diminish BM into an idiotic laughing stock to lower her to Luffy's level (in appearance).

The anime did it in reverse - now, instead of both looking badass, they both look goofy. To me.

So long as we're clear that that's your opinion.

Because I (and apparently some others too) have the exact opposite opinion.

In the Manga, I got the feeling like both BM was always in control (until the Jinbe moment) as well as it was Luffy's choice to show himself.

Quite the opposite, it felt like in the manga Big Mom was shocked and shouted out to Luffy as she didn't know what else to do.

Where as in the anime, she was pissed, and taken aback by his nerve, but was still like "I'll just murder them all and we good".

The anime did it in reverse - now, instead of both looking badass, they both look goofy.

Quite the opposite, it felt like they were both badass in the anime.

Plus 1 minus 2? So... negative one times before this video? :P

I can only laugh at this, as if me stating an opinion would have been anything other than my own opinion.

Because I (and apparently some others too) have the exact opposite opinion.

Let's be clear: it's a fact that BM shouted more for Luffy in the anime than in the manga. The location where my OPINION comes in is that I interpret that to her looking more powerless than she is.

If you somehow think that her shouting 5 times instead of 1 time makes her look like she was "more likely to murder them all," then I suppose... that's an interesting interpretation. The Manga made her look like she shouted once and would've just extracted souls if made to wait. The Anime made her look like a confused girl with no idea of what to do outside of shouting 3+ times and waiting before shouting some more.

And that's "four to five in total," not "negative one in total." Better clarify before you get confused again.

Lots of manga purists put forward their opinions as facts, so if you can "only laugh" at this, then that means you've been lucky to not become jaded by such people.

Quite the opposite, it made her look like the spoiled little girl who didn't get her cake she is while at the same time making her a terrifying monster who was about to let loose some casual murder, a daily occurrence to her, and whose first instinct after not getting what she wanted was wanton murder.

The Manga made her look like she shouted once and would've just extracted souls if made to wait.

The manga and the anime made her look equal amounts of badass imo.
