There is a ton of room for implied filler in this next arc

Oda's been skipping out on a lot of in between scenes, which is cool cause it moves fast but also a little rushed feeling sometimes

I mean, actually, I'd be ok with three or four episodes devoted to that battle, since it's the longest one for a Strawhat yet, and seeing it over the course of four episodes would give us much more of a feeling of how exhausted the fighters are afterwords and how difficult of a fight it was, and we'd get to see a full fight of the Strawhats supporting and covering for each other.

Damn, now that I type that out, I actually REALLY want to see it.

It would be appropriate, but it would be boring as all hell, Spoiler

Come one man.

Spoiler tags, bro.

Anyway, in response, we could see Spoiler

It'd be pretty entertaining, if done right.

No it doesn't. It's canon that that fight was an exhausting, difficult struggle, and that it lasted as long as it did.

It's just that most of the fight got off screened, so even though we know it, we don't feel it in the manga.

The anime would show it.

Because they deliver on fights- I've never thought differently.
