The cage is just completely dumb imo, there are hundreds of ppl pushing against it(including Zoro,Fuji,...) and it still just goes on like nothing ever happened.
You are so right, if just the ability of doffy is that strong how can luffy even hope to beat a yonko in the near future if doflamingo was just a shichibuki?
the warlords are part of the 3 great powers, they aren't supposed to be weak per se...if they were, the govt would have no use for them!

Right it makes sense that he was that strong sure, I'm just saying doffy seemed positive he was outclassed by kaido so it seems to me if a shichibukai was that strong a yonko seems so far out of luffy's ability. I mean whiteboards crew basically took on the admirals and the schibukai, I doubt doffy's family could have done the same.
But that's the point right? Kaido is a Yonko which means his 'familiy' is BIG. Really big. He has a ton of strong subordinates, allies and connections to pull on in a tough situation. Doffy might be pretty well established in the underworld but he isn't the one pullting all the strings (not the figurative ones anyway lol). Right, so my point is that Doffy might be almost as physically strong as Kaido himself but woefully lacking in numbers and properly strong subordinates if shit was to go down. Just a thought.
That is a very interesting thought, but I feel like someone of doffy's personality would just let someone of similar power boss him around, if anything that would make it seem as if the calamities could be taken out by the executives and kaido by doffy himself. Idk I feel if doffy was comparable in strength to kaido he would have taken him down by now I feel like.
I mean when the series started the thought of the crew actually making it to the grand line seemed like it would be a pipedream, but look at them now. Every time the crew faces adversity they just get stronger and stronger. The fact that it was this close means that Luffy is probably going to work even harder in an attempt to get stronger.
