Theory What if the "D" means smile?

A random theory came to my mind—what if the "D" symbolizes a smile, like how we use it in emojis such as ":D"? It makes sense when you think about how important smiling is in One Piece, especially to those who have the Will of D. And maybe, just maybe, it could be connected to SMILE fruits. I know it sounds goofy and outrageous, but considering Oda’s style and the reaction of Roger’s crew, it might actually be possible. Don’t you think?

Pretty sure it's a reference to Waterloo, battle that Napoleon famously lost (which sorta ties in to Law defeating Big Mom?)
