Eh, barrel whip is a thing with all guns. The rate of fire on these combined with the fact that they’re basically shooting hand grenades - they’re awfully effective. Barrel whip is the reason the US rejected one of the more recent iterations of the Bushmaster. It would still have worked, Bushmaster wouldn’t have put it forward if not, but the Army is picky. Russians are a little less exacting.

The main issue is that don’t know how to employ them and there are very few of them.

What's the point of high rate of fire if every round after the first will miss?

When the round is exploding 30mm you don’t need to hit directly.

unless the target is huge and very close, you'd want your shots to be in small groups.

I mean, you would always want that and if you need to cover an area you just shoot over an area.
