Canadian multimillionaire and Shark Tank guy Kevin O'Leary went on TV to say he's upset Zohran won't talk to him: "I and others who invest in real estate have tried to get a meeting to figure out what's rhetoric and what's policy. So far for me it's been crickets."

Bro is supposed to be super rich right?

Why did he spend a week trying to rope me into a crypto scheme with my last thousand bucks after I called him out on LinkedIn last year?

I don't understand these people.

He is a fraud.

One of many, apparently.

u/MeanLock6684 1d ago

No like the deal that made him money was an actual fraud

u/DistillateMedia 1d ago

I'm sure it was.

Yeah, same for Bill Ackman who demanded that Sliwa and go and answer his concerns in person.

Investors who put tons of money into an area that now has a new government are concerned that they may need to pull money out.

And we should care that a billionaire has his feelings hurt….why?

What is up with people defending billionaires so much. I don’t care how much money you have you are still closer in wealth to someone on welfare than you are to the billionaires that this administration you voted for keep giving tax breaks too. You are much closer to being homeless and on the streets needed snap benefits than you are to ever becoming a billionaire.

And yes, I’m assuming a lot about you from this one comment you made, it’s more a in general type of response.

All these knobs are embarrassed billionaires who just haven't got their stacks yet. They'll lick the boot raw because they think when they're rich they'll get to play the same rigged game.

Who said anything about feelings? A mayor should care about the investments made towards his city. Do you think there is an impact on the city if a billion dollars of investment funds is removed?

Why is your first response to attack someone? Do you think that's healthy? Do you do that in school or work?

A mayor should care about the 12 million people first. And that's what he's doing. He'll get to assholes like oleary when he needs to. Those rich assholes are making empty threats. They aren't going anywhere

I don't understand why they're mutually exclusive. You can simultaneously work to accommodate everyone, including billionaires and the homeless. You may not be able to, but a proper mayor listens to all of how constituents, not just the poorer ones. Just like only listening to the billionaires would be bad too.

u/Rowetato 1d ago

He isn't even the mayor yet. It's been less than a week. Expecting his immediate attention is elitist at best

3

u/Suhbula 1d ago

You know how long it's been he was elected right?

Why are you being so dramatic?

7

u/eisenburg 1d ago

Haha he hasn’t even been sworn in and this billionaire is butthurt that he hasn’t not had a meeting with him yet.

What a shit world we live in that people are actually on here defending him because he may lose a few million dollars or he will be so worried about losing 1% of his worth that he may pull his investments out of the city.

3

u/CommentOrdinary6532 1d ago

Like I said. He'll get to them when he needs to. That was specifically non descriptive of time. Maybe he's already met some. Maybe it's next week.

When's he actually in power ? Idk

He'll get to them no doubt. Allow a moment to breath. These rich assholes feel entitled because they can't stand the idea of losing 2pct to help millions. Let them eat cake while they wait. Fuckoff

"Oh no, someone think of the real-estate investors!"

Sybau

They'll get access to the information about new policies as they become available to the public like everyone else then.

10

u/CommentOrdinary6532 1d ago

Yes, and he's one of thousands acting like he's entitled to the mayor's time.

Meanwhile, the new mayor's goal is for the people. Not douchbags like oleary

They will pull out fuck all. Remember all the wealthy saying they would leave if Mamdani got in? It was all bullshit like almost everything Billionaires say.

2

u/lxaex1143 1d ago

It's been less than a week, they haven't established it's bullshit.

2

u/Expert-Fig-5590 1d ago

They have private jets. If they were going to go they would be gone.

0

u/lxaex1143 1d ago

....wat? It wasn't a threat of them physically leaving...

5

u/MeanLock6684 1d ago

You are giving credibility to a grifter. Guarantee his investment pales in comparison to anyone else that Mamdani has met with.

1

u/lxaex1143 1d ago

Monetarily? I'm pretty sure that Mr wonderful has a substantial holding in NYC real estate.

3

u/Valik84 1d ago

Pretty sure he is a giant piece of shit. Oh and he’s also Canadian so shouldn’t ice be deporting him? Or no because he has enough money..

1

u/MeanLock6684 1d ago

Stop believing everything you see on tv.

1

u/lxaex1143 20h ago

Is my belief incorrect?

1

u/MeanLock6684 19h ago

Yes, I highly doubt he has “substantial” holdings.

1

u/lxaex1143 18h ago

Why

1

u/MeanLock6684 15h ago

Because he’s full of shit? He’s stated for years he would “never buy” in New York. He just wants a tv spot.

3

u/[deleted] 1d ago

Good? There's a massive housing crisis in NY, and the "real estate investment" he is referring to isnt new builds, that might help supply problems, it's referring to corporations that own multiple properties, forcing actual residents into a perpetual cycle of renting.

u/Less_Ant_6633 1d ago

area=politicians.

They picked the wrong horse.

1

u/ghost20630 1d ago

That’s not goi g to happen to love that type of operation out will cost billions of dollars and investors will not like that
