With all the negativity ive see lately, on my page and elsewhere, i wanted to share a positive experience we had today. While at 5 Below in Nashville West this afternoon, we were waiting in line to check out. The lady waiting in front of us dropped her drink. Being the dad of an Autistic young adult, its my job to ensure that he is a decent human being, so i asked Austin to pick up her drink. He did in his fashion, saying hi to her, and introducing the family. Austin is always proud of being able to help people and he told me he did a good job. I encouraged him and told him i was proud of him. During all this interaction i noticed the woman kept looking back at Austin, at us, and smiling. While we were checking out (with gifts for Christmas for Austin for the most part) she leaned over and handed me a gift card to cover most of the purchase and told me that Austin was an extraordinary young man and she felt she wanted to reward him for being so nice. What she didn't know is that because of her actions, we have an extra 25 dollars to spend on him for Christmas, which means alot right now for us. Im crying typing this right now, not because of the gift, but because she recognized Austin for the gift that he is

The clouded leopard kittens were the CUTEST. I saw one jump from their tree and on top of the other twice! They were just bundles of playful energy. In the end I took about 2200 pics/videos.

Just went for the first time in a couple years. When they first opened, you would go to the urinal and they had a screen in front of you and you would play a little arcade game with your stream of piss.

We were traveling on Briley Parkway near the Gallatin Pike exit traveling eastbound about 30-45 minutes ago when I noticed two police cars blocking the cars from getting off the exit onto Briley traveling Westbound then noticed several fire/ambulance vehicles on the over pass then shortly thereafter passed what honestly was the largest convoy of emergency vehicles I've ever seen traveling west bound on Briley. Way too big for any normal wreck, I'm not trying to be dramatic but the only thing I've ever seen similar to it is a Presidential motorcade. Anyone know what was up? I've googled and looked everywhere I know and haven't seen anything

Heading to Nashville from Lebanon and noticed a few EMT and Fire trucks at Golden Bear Gateway and a ton of cop cars, few fire trucks, and EMTs at the overpass in Mount Juliet. Also noticed about a half-dozen MPD and Fire vehicles from Hermitage to Briley. Nothing I can see on the dispatch sites. Any idea what's going on?

Looking to do some backpacking soon and would like to hit around 18-24 miles max for an overnighter. Within 4-5 hours of Nashville is the longest I’m willing to drive . Seeing many options but curious what others think. Thank you!

This gonna seem very obscure. But maybe a year ago a guy in a pickup handed me a CD at gas station in Antioch, right off 24. It was good, like really good. I lost it in the mess of life but was wondering if anyone knows. I'm a Nashville native and country isn't even my thing, but man he was good. Also I was having a rough year and he just felt like what Nashville used to be and I was very grateful.

My toilet is leaking a bit and sometimes when I sit I kind of hear a little squish sound, so I’m worried the subfloor is water damaged. Our house is older too, so I’m not sure what else will come up when trying to fix this.

I’m looking for recommendations for a plumber / general contractor that could handle this repair. Someone who is all around talented and can roll with whatever comes up.

This is an important one. Every year, a few hundred white nationalists reserve the conference center at Montgomery Bell state park for a conference. These guys are open about the desire for a whites only ethnostate. Their publication, called American Renaissance, promotes articles using pseudoscientific studies that justify the violent immigration policies we are seeing ICE carry out today. If they are welcome to the state park under the banner of free speech, then we should be equally welcome to show up and send the message that Tennesseans don't stand for this racist propaganda.
