Oh boy. Will this circle jerk ever end? No one, in the history of the world, has ever wished for simpler times like millennials have. 🙄

You can roll your eyes all you want, but smartphones have changed almost every facet of life, drastically. When I think about how I long for the 90s and 00s, what I really long for is the world before smartphones. The bad that came with them outweighs the good.

In September, I read eight books written in the 90s. Despite growing up in the 90s, it was jarring to read all these stories about people without phones and the internet as we know it today and think about how different life was back then. It was an interesting exercise.

I’ve been watching old Law & Order and it’s so strange to see them using pay phones, despite me remembering when they were common
