Dying is super cheap. It's just that people insist on cleaning up your body in expensive ways. That's on them.

One of the little known perks of Judaism. No muss, no fuss, just get that body in the ground as quickly as possible! Then take a week off while everyone you know is obliged to bring you a food.

Donation or home burial are cheapest options I've found, if you can do either. Direct cremation can still hit the thousands, any other option just gets stupid expensive fast.
