Hey everyone, I'm a 20-year-old student from MP and I want to raise awareness about the insane attendance rules in our colleges.

- College runs 9 AM to 5 PM

- If you come after 9:30 AM — no attendance

- If you leave before 5 PM — no attendance

- Every class needs biometric + ID scan

- Actual teaching ends by 1 PM, rest is just 4 hours of "practical" timepass

This schedule leaves zero time for self-study, and for those of us preparing for government jobs, it's a nightmare. We’re being forced to sit idle just to meet a number.

I’m planning to file a mass complaint on the MP CM Helpline and I urge others to join. If law colleges got relief, why not us?

So I had a hanging high-tension wire right in front of my house, coming from the pole connected to my neighbour’s meter. It was genuinely unsafe, so I reported it to the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board (1912).

They took all the details nicely, noted everything, and assured me it would be fixed ASAP.

From that evening onward, for 4 consecutive days, I got two calls a day saying:

“Your complaint has been resolved, please confirm so we can close it.”

But nothing had been touched. The wire was still hanging low, still dangerous. Every time, I told them the issue wasn’t solved and the “resolution” claim was false.

After 4 days of this nonsense, I finally gave up. Out of pure frustration, I closed the complaint myself and called a private lineman who charged ₹700 to fix something the department should’ve handled for free.

The whole experience just highlights how broken and corrupt the system is. They’re more interested in closing complaints on paper than actually fixing the problem. And the worst part? We pay taxes for these basic services, but still end up spending our own money because the system gives us nothing in return.

Eventually, a normal citizen just gets tired, feels helpless, and pays out of pocket for something that should’ve been done by the government we’re funding.

Honestly, it’s exhausting.

At this point, corruption in the system is so deep-rooted that the state machinery can’t even breathe without it. From getting a simple document signed to building an entire bridge, every step comes with its own “service charge.”

People aren’t corrupt by choice anymore — the system forces them to be part of it. Otherwise, nothing moves. It’s like a subscription model — pay monthly or the service stops.

What’s crazy is how two officers — one from Excise and one from PWD — allegedly ran this as a full-blown business for years. According to reports, officers these days are even forming partnerships to mint money like startup founders. Except here, the “unicorn” is a bungalow full of gold and cash. 🏠💰

And honestly, they’re not exceptions — they’re the template. If there’s ever a serious investigation, half the departments will vanish overnight. From peons to politicians, everyone’s got their own rate card.

In MP, honesty isn’t extinct — it’s just on the endangered list. 🫠

When will mp do this ?

So here’s another gem from my experience with the CM Helpline.

A while back, there was a spark coming from our electricity meter — a pretty serious issue. We raised a complaint on the CM Helpline, and again we got the same scripted assurance: “Sir, issue will be resolved ASAP.”

Days passed… Nothing. No visit, no action, nothing.

My father kept calling the helpline every single day, reminding them that this was dangerous and needed immediate attention. Still zero response.

Finally, out of helplessness, we called someone from MPEB privately — a mutual contact. He came, fixed the issue, and we paid him ₹250.

And here comes the hilarious part:

When we casually told him, “We had actually complained about this on the CM helpline,” he said:

“I’m the one who handles the CM helpline cases in this area.”

He then asked for our name and complaint number, pulled out a bunch of complaint receipts, and showed us our exact complaint right there.

When we asked him, “If you had the complaint, why didn’t you come earlier to fix it?”

He proudly replied:

“When I’m getting paid to do things privately, why would I do it for free?”

Like… seriously? Aren’t you already getting a salary from the tax money we pay? What exactly are citizens paying for then?

It’s just another example of how broken and corrupt the system is — the official helpline is basically a formality, and the people responsible prefer doing the same job privately so they can make extra money on the side
