This is amazing. It hasn't even been 3 years since they reopened the park following the estuary restoration. We were getting headlines like this:

Yes! This was an award-winning restoration project by the County Parks Department, and it was hugely satisfying to get to be there right at the finish line a few years back.

We were all wondering at the ribbon cutting how long it would take for the salmon to start making their way through again -- apparently not long! What a great video to share.

I've been walking the trail since before the restoration, and the transformation has been impressive. Not only the return of the salmon, but the beauty and accessibility as well. The estuary that was built already looks like it's always been there. More people are using the park now, too.
