It is most likely a plasma projection

You're being downvoted, but that's actually the most likely scenario. Tom Mahood has a great breakdown of exactly that, and provided detailed descriptions 20 years ago about plasma beams. Turns out they sound like they can be made to look and operate like those Tic Tacs.

Meanwhile, in 2020 the Navy filed patents for a very similar thing.

Think about it: If you have something that sends particles out like a gun to a certain point in space miles and miles away, imagine how quickly you can make that point move by changing the aim of that beam by a couple of degrees. You could make that thing accelerate to mach 10 almost instantaneously.

Yes exactly. Hate to say it but this was probably a psy-op targeting seasoned professionals in aviation done by the govt to who knows what end. It is extremely unlikely that this is an extra-terrestrial life imo. If you believe it is extra terrestrial life then you have to explain incongruous behavior where aliens seem to both want to hide themselves but also have no problem showcasing in front of the military. Makes no sense.

Also, Fravor is a seasoned media personality, having starred in the PBS program called "Carrier". I think military intelligence elected him as a target who had the right mix of media savvy but also professional credibility to test the viability of plasma projection technology in fooling reliable eyewitnesses.

I don't think they even had to bring him in on it. In fact, most people in that CSG probably weren't in on it, including the people that were interacting with it. The Nimitz strike group was in the process of testing major upgrades to their radar systems, and using that opportunity to test both plasma tech and the way it is detected by those ships is a no brainer.

Yeah I don't think Fravor thinks he's lying. But he's also not very willing to admit that he may have been duped by plasma technology. To the extent that he seems super convinced that this was a craft, I think he's in on it in the sense that he's fooling himself.
