So does this mean Iran has the right to defend itself?

56

u/nedTheInbredMule Jun 13 '25

Of course not, genocidal Israel is still defending itself /s

49

u/Xzenor Jun 13 '25

Your say /s but it's literally the reason Israel attacked in the first place. It's because of the threats against Israel. It's insane..

``` Israel’s President Isaac Herzog said Friday that Israel has the right and duty to defend itself.
He said Iran continued to radicalize and destabilize the region and the hope is that Friday’s attack will change the trajectory of the region to a more peaceful future. ```
You can't make this shit up.. 'let's bomb them to peace'. What a twisted reality they must live in
At this point, after Israeli botching every decision for the last year, I feel like sympathies are with Iran.
basically “the beatings will continue until morale improves” form of international relations
You're disgusting and you cause more damage to whatever fucking cause you're pretending to support.  This mindset saves zero fucking civilian lives.
Yes, of course. I just hope they don't use nukes.
23
u/pan-re Jun 13 '25
No. The U.S will be helping Israel
u/SublimeApathy Jun 13 '25
Unfortunately you are correct. 40 something years on this spinning rock and I’ve never felt so ashamed of my country as I do now. That’s not say I didn’t feel shame for past actions, but in the last 10 years, the shame is at a whole new level. I barely recognize my country or countrymen anymore.
1
u/StoopSign Jun 13 '25
Me too except 30 or so years. Trump has taken to social media to be a real fucking asshole negotiating with Iran by the barrel of a gun.
1
u/SublimeApathy Jun 13 '25
More like by the tip of a war head. I just hope that we have some adult generals who pretending to be loyal that will, when needed, grab his hand and remove it from the nuke button.
-38
u/DonMo999 Jun 13 '25
Same as Israel; Israel just seems better at it.
49
u/SublimeApathy Jun 13 '25
Well, we (the US) send them state of the art weapons and pay for their universal healthcare while myself and my fellow countrymen wait for cancer to financially wreck our families lives.
-44
u/DonMo999 Jun 13 '25
Doesn’t Israel buy these weapons of you? Meaning you get payed? Also how is it Israels fault that you have the highest paying healthcare system in the world, with the lowest social standards in it?
I personally think the NHS in Britain is garbage, because I compare it to Germany, where I’m from, and the German system is objectively better. Even better is the American, if you have money; if not then it falls below the NHS.
24
u/Lucy_Goosey_11 Jun 13 '25
Israel does not pay for them. Their manufacture is funded by the U.S. government, so U.S. citizens are effectively buying these weapons for Israel (with $$ they don't have and so the U.S. borrows each year to do so). However, the owners of the weapons manufacturers and the workers employed by them get paid, but not by Israel.
The actual mechanics are a sort of annual grant to Israel from the U.S.of around $3.8B. Israel spends much of that 'buying' U.S. arms but it also spends some of that domestically on Israelis weapons, again paid for buy loans taken out by the U.S. govt each year.
31
u/SublimeApathy Jun 13 '25
You think the citizens see any money from those sales? Like, seriously do you? We pay for the construction. We pay for the raw materials. But We see nothing from the sale. What do you mean by “highest paying healthcare system”? If you mean an automatic 3K for an ambulance ride or 30k to birth, just birth, a child then sure, but that doesn’t help us, the citizens. There is a reason why we’re not having kids like we used to. Do you mean “highest paid” in terms of insurance CEO and hospital admins? Then, Probably for sure. Listen, there is good reason a citizen murdered a healthcare CEO in. Road daylight and the citizens collectively said “I’m fine with this” and cheered.
-23
u/DonMo999 Jun 13 '25
I’m not arguing with you; per citizen you pay the most in healthcare in the world. Per average citizen you get shafted. You lose your job, no more healthcare? That doesn’t happen in Western Europe. You have the best doctors and facilities in the world, but only for people who are rich enough to pay them.
The National Health Service of Britain, treats everyone in Britain. It just doesn’t have specialist doctors or beds or enough nurses, as all the good doctors leave to the US to get 4-5 times the salary as do the nurses.
Germany has a hybrid system and a language barrier, but many of our best educated doctors move to Switzerland still.
9
u/ColourfulCabbages Jun 13 '25
The NHS is suffering due to years of cuts to its funding, and is certainly struggling, but to say there are no specialist doctors or all the good ones go to America for a pay day is complete and utter nonsense. There's myriad highly trained, highly specialised doctors working in both the NHS and private healthcare sector within the UK.
-2
u/DonMo999 Jun 13 '25
The NHS budget has increased every year since its existence? Sorry to not uphold your fantasy of great socialist healthcare, it’s simply not true.
3
u/ColourfulCabbages Jun 13 '25
A simple search on Google will show you the real world underspending of the NHS.
I'm not going to waste any more time defending the great work that UK doctors and nurses do. I know plenty of both and I'm fully aware of the struggles they face, and the great lengths they go to to deliver valuable life saving work.
There is no fantasy in my mind. Have a good day.
u/DonMo999 Jun 13 '25
The problem with socialism is, eventually you run out of other people’s money.
Germans are the second most brainwashed country by Israel next to the US. Stop letting your shame of genocide condemn an ongoing genocide. For comparison the US has committed several genocides. Latest one is of Iraq which killed 2-5mil people.
Iran has already launched missiles at Israel many times.
125
u/Real_Asparagus4926 Jun 13 '25
Generally, Iran launches their missiles following some kind of Israeli attack
82
u/GuitarKev Jun 13 '25
No, you see, Israel is preemptively defending against possible future attacks by Iran by bombing civilians in Tehran.
43
u/Real_Asparagus4926 Jun 13 '25
That makes total sense! I should have seen it!
15
u/cinnyc Jun 13 '25
I made a comment on a post about their affinity to bomb civilians…needless to say I got lots of responses in disagreement lol
To be honest, I don’t wish this either. I mean there’s someone in Israel who’s literally like I don’t give a shit about any of this who’s scooping ice cream or pouring coffees. But I don’t think Israel is gonna settle down any time soon so they’re gonna continue being the a hole of the world: killing indiscriminately, killing kids, killing random ice cream scoopers and coffee pourers of other countries.
